Loosing you in Afghanistan was loosing a piece of home. It still messes with me knowing we were both deployed to Afghanistan at the same time and operating in the same areas. Out of all the people from home, I ended up being one of the last people to laugh with you, talk shit with you, and hug you goodbye.
I remember being excited because your ODA team was supposed to come through my area. Then I got the call.
I will never forget Jakes voice shaking while he told me your mom had called and that you were gone. I was praying it wasnโt you, then I heard you stepped on an IED.
I saw your ODA team a week after, but I couldnโt even speak. The grief hit hard.
Being deployed with you already felt unreal. Being one of the last people to see you alive is something I have carried ever since.
I think about you often, Donald. Not just on Memorial Day, but all year long.
You were loved by a lot of people and you deserve to be remembered every single day.

#UntilValhalla heads to Seymour (R7) today and looks well placed to return to the winnersโ stall. She draws ideally, gets in nicely at the weights with the claim, and if she produces anything close to her best, sheโll be very hard to beat in this field.

#UntilValhalla kicks us off at Caulfield (R2), stepping back in grade after contesting two Group races in her last two starts. She draws well, gets in nicely with the claim, and if she can produce anywhere near her best she looks a great chance at some nice each-way odds.
#OlMateCoop makes the trip to Moruya (R2) looking to knock his maiden off today. He has been racing in great form without quite getting the win, finds a very suitable race here, and he is very short odds to break through in this small field.
#Sunsets lines up in the Kerang Cup (R6) looking to get some confidence back. His first two runs of the campaign were fantastic and he has been disappointing since, so we are looking to see him bounce back today in what looks a very suitable race to do so.
#Pantoja heads to Oakbank (R9) in great form and ready to pick up his first win of the campaign. The race looks suitable and he shapes as another at each-way odds that is a great chance today if things go his way in running.

While her first two runs of the campaign didn't look great on paper, we were more than happy with how the post-race data stacked up. She got the race run to suit today and it was a great watch, capped off by an excellent ride from apprentice Luke Cartwright ๐
That brings up her 5th career win and takes her career prize-money to in excess of $460,000 ๐ฐ

Iโm extremely saddened to have to post that Sarah Beckstrom, one of the West Virginia National Guard Soldiers ambushed in Washington DC yesterday, has passed away.
Hopefully sheโs spending these moments next to our true king, and that her family finds comfort in these difficult times. I hope they had the opportunity to say goodbye. Rest easy soldier, weโve got it from here.

#UntilValhalla (R5) kicks things off at her second start in Victoria. She ran well over this track and trip last time out after a gap between runs, has come on nicely since, and with a bit of luck from the draw, looks well-placed to run a strong race.
#Windstorm (R7) steps out over 1800m for the first time in his career. From the inside gate he should enjoy a soft run, and if he sees out the trip, we expect him to be right in the finish again.
#Katsu (R8) makes his debut in our silks for his new ownership group and stable. Heโs trialled impressively, and if the Hayes boys have him back to his best, he looks very hard to beat with even luck in the run.
