This is the "BC Builds" playbook - happened during the election cycle (no legislature; no MLA offices) right in front of @mableelmore where public land was "given away" (zero transparency) so that private entrepreneurs can profit "risk free" for 99 years.
@CBCEarlyEdition & @CBCOnTheCoast, please ask @victoriajungvan or @PreetiFaridkot who always state that they care about South Vancouver all about the lack of transparency; all the VSB Trustees know the details of this giveaway - why is nobody proud of it?
Also remember @MichaelLeeBC who asked @RachnaSinghNDP and is on the record, in the Hansard and in Estimates. Unanswered questions while land is being given away without transparency is the movie set that is #vanpoli. Fun times coming?

Lots of confusion out there with @JohnRustad4BC as he wants his people to represent YOU, but in places like #VanLangara, @Bryan4Langara has been completely silent on how to address the "full schools" problem in his potential riding. Why Bryan?
@AzimAJiwani is well aware of the LACK of educational excellence in the @CityofVancouver where only 76% of kids now attend the public school system. (Fact this @victoriajungvan and get @VSBEngagement to actually engage please) which means that nearly 1 of 4 kids is paying for basic K12 education in the city. Is that the highest in North America? Does Vancouver have that much money?
On top of all this, bagholders are going to result in #OakridgePark no matter what games @QuadRealGroup tries as the only real solution is for them to create a "Developers for Schools" campaign and lead it.
Back when the @bcndp has $6B surpluses, it did not focus on educational excellence and instead @bcedplan as co-governor is allowing school fields to be chopped up and "given away" (zero transparency) for 99 years to developers to build so called "affordable housing" and that movie is coming to #VanLangara so what's @SunitaDhirBC going to do about this sequel to Fleming Elementary's school field giveaway?

However, the incremental short term approach in South Vancouver is, at best, mediocre and totally reactionary.
Example: Take Fleming Elementary in South Vancouver. People will want to know how much the VSB spent on the disposition and what the pre-paid 99 year brings in. Why is this not public? Is the VSB not proud of their strategy and what they have done?
Is spending our time, money and energy on the "Fleming Elementary School Disposition By-Law" worth it?
How many other school fields are planned for such disposition?

I can’t stop thinking about some of the things @JohnRustad4BC told RW extremist Jordan Peterson in their podcast interview. When discussing the education system, Rustad said BC high school graduates are not prepared for university. “Some of them can’t even write their own name,” he said.
SURE JOHN, BC’s HIGH SCHOOL GRADS CAN’T WRITE THEIR OWN NAMES🙄
As premier he said he’ll order a full review of teaching materials in an effort to make it all “neutral,” so it won’t “indoctrinate” future B.C. students into environmentalism.
“For example, there’s I think, a book in, I think it’s Grade 4 math, I think it’s called Math That Matters. The math is correct … 2+2=4 … but the language being used is all about environmentalism.”
Ok, I guess? So go back to math problems about when different trains leave the station. Or maybe he’ll demand math problems that calculate the max capacity of multiple gas pipelines.
BUT WHAT WILL YOU DO WITH THE SCIENCE CURRICULUM JOHN?
Is he also going to remove all mentions of greenhouses gases and climate change from K-12 science textbooks? How is that going to prep our students for post-secondary and beyond, in a world where climate change IS real and a man-made problem that the rest of the world is working on?
