Tell me why teachers do NOT receive “specialized training in literacy instruction” *BEFORE* they step foot in a classroom? 🤯
Why are teachers subjected to the #WaitToFail model *AFTER* most paid about $50-$100,000+ to attend teaching colleges, only to graduate prepared to fail at their job and fail most students in their classroom?
You don’t get to pretend like you’re the knight in shining armor that’s riding in to rescue children after you played an outsized role in causing loneliness, learning loss, and the literacy crisis that’s plagued public education for generations. Especially when you know that you and I had a 1:1 meeting on May 25, 2021 about this issue and you did NOTHING afterwards, except ghost me.

If so, I believe it’s a sign the learning environment is not suitable for their needs &/or it’s a clue to a learning difference/difficulty/disability and they should be evaluated ASAP.
Reject the #WaitToFail policies used by most schools.

The depth of teacher ignorance in Scotland regarding dyslexia and appropriate teaching methods is a national disgrace. 50% of children with dyslexia leave school without a single Higher.
