They didn't give the reasons why they rejected it. They also claimed ECtHR's ruling didn't mean doctors could lie!

@PaulBrandITV A good follow up would be how NHS Trusts across the nation cover-up failings in care to silence families - one of the longest running cases is that of #willcpowell who highlights the need for #RobinsLaw an individual Statutory Duty of Candour for all health care workers

@okarimurol @gmcuk Lies that are common within the medical profession e.g. cover-up of medical error, lying to families and research misconduct are all fine. Indeed, the GMC will defend such doctors, as in Robbie Powell's case. #willcpowell
