If it’s not something you’re seeing widely with other sites then I would look at you site speed (specifically DOM size) to see if there’s room to improve.

@cemanikantil @dannysullivan @JohnMu @methode @searchliaison @rustybrick I haven’t seen anything as prominent as it was back in 2019. Do you have examples of what you’re seeing? Snippet loss here and there is normal, it just happens occasionally, unfortunately. If it’s happening a lot then there’s something to look into likely.

This doesn't just happen to a few results either, it tends to happen across many of a site's top rankings when it affects a site.

Major issues going on with recipe rich snippets. Would love to know why sites are losing snippets (since late Feb even) and why snippets are now showing obscure images... @JohnMu @methode @searchliaison @rustybrick

I'm getting tired of these Google 'bugs' where recipe sites get excluded from the recipe carousel. I'm starting a thread to share examples as I find them. @JohnMu, I beg for your help in this as it affects these publishers significantly...

Ex 1: In case you're wondering how this affects traffic, they're seeing a 60-75% decrease in pageviews since this started happening (which is pretty consistent with many other sites I've seen this happen to).

@Kevin_Indig TheWirecutter - although, they recently moved the site under the NY Times domain and I have my own thoughts on that haha
