@6079SmithWinsom@Empty_America When Mexico gets Mexicans to fill out all the hands-on roles in a tranche of it's fundamental industries, the money, experience and goodwill doesn't then get channeled out of the country.
@DDakinson@prpic_vjek47954@Jarek2025 Russia isn't interested in destroying a few drones. They pick soft, civilian targets because all they know is how to ruin nice things and the individuals involved don't see a future so aren't thinking that international courts will catch up with them.
@princess_worms@KathrynPaisner You work in tech (I work in tech), as an industry we're a lot easier going in this sort of thing in many respects (especially when there's little consumption and manufacture of physical goods to take into account). Your experience is not typical of greater industry.
@princess_worms@KathrynPaisner And if you're the boss who doesn't prioritise things properly, you'll be the one who annoys their staff by springing things on them later than necessary making problems for their own schedules which could have been avoided.
@princess_worms@KathrynPaisner No trouble - either he'd learn to be more reliable in his responsibilities, or he wouldn't be promoted to a role with more responsibilities. People don't want staff that don't get things done, when they are expected to happen. Deadlines can be soft or hard, but they still matter
@princess_worms@KathrynPaisner OK, I know how that goes. But around that will be expectations that some stuff will happen when it happens, other stuff will happen when someone does it - and everyone is either held back or working harder, when the person tasked to do something does not do it, for no good reason
@princess_worms@KathrynPaisner I don't know which industry you work in, or maybe your bosses make artificial deadlines with padding assuming people will miss them. Even when a missed deadline isn't critical, it can have financial impacts and affect others who matched their priorities to the business's schedule
@princess_worms@KathrynPaisner So in industry, when someone's given a deadline for a report, and they miss them or only write half the reports they've been asked to, that's cool ?
@princess_worms@KathrynPaisner No point learning the subject if you're incapable of interacting in society. Also, the marking schemes are there for consistency. If you don't care for the certificates by all means ignore them. But then you'll have to prove to the next person that you know it.
@princess_worms@KathrynPaisner The point of taking the course is to pass the course - there are rules and if you don't follow them, you don't get the reward. Much of life works like this, you don't get a pass because you're smart/talented. Smart kids can play the system, pass/ace the course, with less work.
@James_J_Marlow He seems very confused "what are you going to do about it he repeats" then someone does something, he's got nothing, and he just gets even more annoying trying to goad anyone else to do the same.
@GetRammed_69@DriveThrough_ Funny that you think objective measuring devices are the nazis, not the power-tripping, racist, people shaking down anyone who they think deserves it.
