WordPress needs fresh people!

Not just users, but teachers, trainers, and creators who can bring new audiences into the ecosystem. Growth isn’t just about features or marketing; it’s about making the platform accessible, understood, and trusted.

Educators are the bridge, but too often they teach for free or get little support while other companies can reap the adoption benefits.

Educators can scale onboarding with courses, workshops, or tutorials that can reach hundreds who might never try WordPress otherwise.

The problems that educators can face (and I'm talking from experience) is time and production costs for creating lessons/sessions. Educators can lack budgets to promote their work. And I don't mean to ruffle or appear ungrateful but a lot of educators miss out on recognition or compensation compared with corporate content creators.

Look at camera YouTubers who get free gear and new releases just for doing videos. Maybe WordPress should be funding educators/content creators to events/camps?

I don't know. Maybe I'm just shooting from the hip again, as usual, but this is my view on it, and I know others that don't want to be talk publicly about it, feel the same.

If WordPress and ecosystem companies want sustainable growth, they should fund the people who teach the rest of the world how to use it.

This happened with me. I’ve been on Wix for 10 years and currently switching to #WordPress (not live yet)

What really made me want to switch is the culture of the WP community. I’ve worked in this community for the last 5 years between Atarim, agency owners, and other WP products.

I’ve been building my own personal brand really for the last two years and so many kind WordPress people have helped me along the way.

For example I had emails mysteriously going to spam & had someone jump on a call with me to figure it out. Offered to pay him because the knowledge he was giving me was crazy for free, but he declined.

That’s happened many many other times. Recently I had someone help me sort some custom HTML blocks on the new site. It’s so cool to me how quick strangers can be to jump on a call to help you.

Along with outgrowing Wix, the kindness of the WP community affirmed my decision.

The community isn’t as negative or as doomed as X would leave you to believe.
Plus, I’m working with AI too in a way that wasn’t possible on Wix.
