@osmarks1@samlakig The production of a neutrino signal and pointing is another major issue, I just know less about that since I’m a detector scientist/instrumentationist. And I don’t think they did have a feasible idea based on the complete lack of interest!
@osmarks1@samlakig I am a physicist and have worked on neutrino detectors. I am trying to illustrate the fundamental limitation of this idea to you. How do you think you detect a neutrino? It must interact with your detector after not having interacted along the diameter of the earth
If you know how much Chicago (or any other university) is paying to give everyone on campus Claude Enterprise, my DMs are open. I am curious how this expense compares to the apparently “too expensive” humanities PhD programs Chicago has cut. I bet the answer is illuminating!
Hunter Schafer's deleted Instagram post from 2018 is so disturbing that The Daily Mail once mistook it for a school shooter's manifesto.
"My gender was so influenced by a need to be used by men."
"My sexual orientation was not gay, it was not straight, is an attraction, always to misogyny."
"Not feeling femme enough w/o being a victim of r*pe... The idea of being eaten used to arouse me."
@hellspatisserie That said, I think people who are exposed to analytic philosophy already have good understanding of the ‘tools’; to me pure math is more closely related to these sorts of topics than to its usual grouping with STE, the rest of which merely use mathematical results
@hellspatisserie With a humanities background, you might want to check out ‘Language, Proof and Logic’ which is more of a logic intro textbook, (i.e. the tools of math with little of the consequence). If you want some actual set theory (etc.), I liked the Book of Proof which i used in undergrad
Thinking about how my parents got me a big boy gift of a check book and sat me down to teach me how to balance it, how antiquated, quaint, and parentally sweet. Must have been like 2008. The times roll on
I was reading in an airport terminal when an older gentleman struck up a conversation with me that quickly moved to his obsessive musings on how AI pornography was making a generation of emasculated young boys. loud and embarrassing convos are #community
Yo @grok - why in the 60 Years that NASA have been shooting Rockets up to the Moon & back, has not a single one created this effect as you see with Space X all the time?
