Hello Twitterverse: if it’s ok to borrow your brain for a moment. I’m looking for book recommendations, if people have any? On the look out for a series that I can work through. If anyone had suggestions that would be really appreciated 🙏🏻. Hope everyone is having a good day.
@jackoefc27 Yes and no. This is a reaction to things that he's done.
Part of the investigation though should be about what support he's going to get to help him with whatever is going on
@AFCAMDEN Saliba was last man on this. VAR got to the right decision in the end. The problem yet again is consistency and it not being a red for Tosin for an almost identical incident is the problem.
If that was a red then there wouldn't be as much of a complaint
@PINDERLFC94 I look forward to Liverpool games more than England. Nothing major behind it but the football is a lot more exciting and I enjoy the game when I'm entertained. England matches don't entertain me and I find international football boring
@johncrossmirror The ref should use VAR to check the decision. In this instance: 'can you check the covering defenders position as I thought from my angle they could get back?'
Put the onus on the ref to check their own thoughts rather than VAR. This was the ref is still in control
@TaintlessRed Yes he needs help but that doesn't cover for what was said in the video and showing there's likely to be underlying bias and potential with the second video that he could be leant on to possibly make suspect calls.
He shouldn't ref at the top level again but could mentor others
@sebpedersen01 Liverpool fan, both to me were red cards as it's last man and the same for the Bailly one last week.
The main problem is consistency in getting the same result for similar/identical offences.
I want to see VAR used like in Rugby where the ref asks if they saw it correctly.
@DaveKeating I've never been taught to idolise the US. I see it for what it is, it's like a narcissist who has a warped view that they're the greatest and can do no wrong.
There are great things about the US but there is a lot to be improved as well for the benefit of the people.
@WestHamPlace@FA_PGMOL It’s about trust in the officials. We’re not expecting them to be perfect all the time but this brings into questions decisions he’s made on the pitch or on VAR that could have impacted loads of games and this is just 1 ref. Surely the rest don’t want to be tarnished as well
