Photoperiodic control of flowering by metabolic regulation in plants. A new type of photoperiodic coincidence system? Cool new paper from @GendronLab#chronobiology https://t.co/KVigSuq9xc
AUXIN RESPONSE FACTOR 6 and 7 control the flag leaf angle in rice by regulating secondary cell wall biosynthesis of lamina joints #PlantSci#CellWalls#Auxin#Biosynthesis https://t.co/8ZEqX3eYaW
A prime example how the cell wall affects cell fate in plants. Great work by Ajeet Chaudhary https://t.co/OEx8531DGL. from our lab showing that wall damage results in root hair patterning defects due to attenuation of the receptor kinase STRUBBELIG. https://t.co/azyERTjeHy
All programs queried so far have rotations and fellowships. I did not know fellowships (at least among six of the top PB programs) was a constant. I was trained in a Crop and Soil Dept in an Ag college where students were directed (no rotations).
How does your plant biology graduate program fund first year students? Ours work as TAs during the 1st two semesters (Sept - Apr) and rotate in three labs. I've looked around to find that many institutions provide fellowships for the 1st year during rotations.
