Salam 🇲🇾 MADANI 🌸,

🚨 BREAKING NEWS: HEALTHCARE DEPLOYMENT MANDATE, RELOCATION ALLOWANCE & LARGEST PERMANENT APPOINTMENT EXERCISE! 🚨

As officially mandated by JPA, KKM now holds absolute autonomy to manage, restructure, and deploy our approved healthcare posts directly.

📍 The “KKM-JPA Perjawatan Task Force” is delivering immediate structural corrections. This year alone, 4,500 contract MOs are being absorbed into permanent roles to systematically ease hospital workloads and stabilize medical careers.

📍 Since 2023, the MADANI Government has executed the largest permanent appointment exercise for contract doctors in our history! Including this year's cohort, this landmark effort successfully delivers over 18,500 permanent doctor appointments within just a 4-year window.

📍 We hear your welfare concerns & we act with real empathy. Starting from July 2026, newly permanent UD10 doctors are now FULLY ELIGIBLE to claim their relocation allowances! No more paying out-of-pocket to relocate & serve the rakyat.

📍 To sustainably expand our doctor pipeline with affordable, world-class options, the MMC has also unlocked a dynamic & transparent evaluation framework for foreign medical degrees accreditation. 28 foreign universities are already in line for review, which will bolster the supply of medical graduates in future.

From improving macro numbers like our 1:403 national doctor-population ratio to executing granular, out-of-the-box welfare fixes, we are structurally overhauling our healthcare ecosystem into one that truly respects, protects, and dignifies our medical professionals. ❤️🇲🇾❤️

Thanks Sdra @sangkancilguru !

📍 Alhamdulillah, Malaysia has implemented the release of Wolbachia-infected Aedes mosquitoes since 2019 (my first term lagi) in high-risk localities using a population replacement approach, which differs from Singapore’s population suppression strategy.

📍 Malaysia is among the earliest countries in the region to operationally deploy Wolbachia-infected Aedes mosquitoes as part of an integrated dengue control strategy.

📍 To date, the implementation has covered 51 localities across eight states, with reported reductions in dengue cases ranging from 45% to 100%. 🌺✊

📍 This programme represents one of the long-term control approaches under the Integrated Vector Management (IVM) framework and we are committed to see that it be expanded (where appropriate).

📍 Other multi-prong measures such as enforcement, health education, and surveillance remain in place to ensure comprehensive and sustainable dengue control.✊✊

I take note of the concerns raised by our medical fraternity regarding the issuance of the Annual Practising Certificates (APC) for 2026 & acknowledged the statement issued by the Malaysian Medical Council (MMC) today.

Therefore, to ensure certainty & continuity, I want to reiterate the legal standing for all affected practitioners:

📍 Guaranteed Legal Continuity: For complete applications submitted on or before 31st Dec 2025, the APC is effective from 1st Jan 2026.

The effective date is NOT dependent on the date of approval or issuance. Your indemnity & legal status remain intact.

Moving forward, my office has started to engage with the @MY_MedCouncil to implement a Systemic Remedial Plan:

📍 Audit & Accountability: Internal audit shall be conducted. MMC will submit a detailed report outlining the root causes, mitigation measures & a concrete timeline for full resolution.

📍 Digital Overhaul: We recognize the urgent need to upgrade the legacy "MeRITS" system. We are committed to transitioning towards a more robust, automated & rule-based digital workflow with upgraded capacity.

📍Policy Reform: As part of a phased reform approach, the impact of the digital overhaul will be assessed before considering further policy measures, including a review of the Medical Act and the introduction of Multi-Year Practising Certificates if required.

We are committed to resolving this matter constructively. Our goal is to build an ecosystem that better facilitates the needs of our medical fraternity.

🚨 BREAKING NEWS

Congratulations to the Pusat Jantung Serdang (PJS) and the entire multidisciplinary LVAD team, (cardiothoracic, cardio, cardio anaest, rehab, pharmacists, scrub nurses, MAs, et al) on the successful implantation of THE FIRST Left Ventricular Assist Device (LVAD) within MOH facilities.

This achievement reflects several important developments:

📍 PJS is steadily strengthening its role as a national referral centre & centre of excellence (CoE) for advanced cardiac surgery, complex tertiary care & clinical training.

📍 The procedure was the first performed entirely within an MOH facility, demonstrating strong local expertise, teamwork and readiness to deliver high-complexity care safely. We also had support from proctors from Singapore.

📍 A major step forward in advanced heart failure management, reducing reliance on overseas treatment

• Meaningful life extension and improved quality of life for patients with end-stage heart failure

📍My prayers remain with the patient (entering his 8th day of his post-op) and Kudos to the care team too, as recovery continues.

May Allah ease the healing process..
Allahumma ishfih.…اللَّهُمَّ اشْفِهِ🤲

O Allah, grant him healing…🤲❤️
