With the guidance of a new trainer & an e-collar, we have been practicing our recall daily to make it strong. Today, Tucker's leash broke and he ran free, chasing a bunny. I called for him and he came back immediately. Without help from the e-collar. Hard work pays off. #proudmom

I leave for Puerto Puerto Rico that morning, so I will miss this. And I'm a little sad about it. Nick Flynn is one of my favorite authors, and he will be 30 minutes from my house.

MEET THE KEYNOTE: We're thrilled Nick Flynn will be joining us at HippoCamp: A Conference for Creative Nonfiction Writers! He's our Saturday evening keynote. Learn more: https://t.co/bzr796TdQV #hippocamp19 #nickflynn #writingconference

One of my favorite books from one of my favorite authors - discovered in one of my favorite classes when I was at Pitt.

[Heather @hbobula]

@xiankiefer I read this one in college - my first Ondaatje - and fell in love with his writing. Incredible book.

Exciting news: one of our artists sold her first piece of art to a POPS Club supporter - and that woman would like to speak with our artist about art school scholarship opportunities. So proud!!

Happy Summer! To the group of you that we missed today: see you in the Fall!

There are so many things to hate about this, I'm not sure where to start.

I'm still not sure who rescued who, but I love this sweet pup with all of my heart. Even when he barks at anything that moves because he is a big scaredy cat & play-bites my feet in an attempt to herd me. Especially when he snuggles during thunderstorms 😍

This guy takes up all of my free time, most of my patience and a lot of my money - but he also makes my heart SO full and happy 😍

In honor of #NationalPuppyDay, here's a picture of my pup, Tucker ❤

[Heather @hbobula]

This cutie moved in yesterday, and I'm excited for all of the adventures to come! He already loves me, and I think he's pretty ok, too 😉

We sure had some proud "Mom" moments the last two nights. These girls were so impressive (and brave.) They are 9th graders, but they stood on a stage with adult college students and were the stars of the show. They were great Thursday, even better Friday. Congratulations to them!
