Mom of 6, grandma of 20 and counting. I advocate personal responsibility, lifelong learning, and the importance of following Jesus at home, church & daily life.
@thrashnanarchy@japan_nobunaga Is there anywhere else in the world where you can buy ice cream by the gallon as an ordinary consumer good? I used to buy it this way before all our children grew up and moved out.
@KWBussard_@japan_nobunaga I needed a visual like this when we were buying a freezer to hold our first half-cow purchase. It would have been so helpful!
@homeschoolmamaG@KelseaJ112 I came here to say this also. You can find homeschooling groups that will be a great support and help you on your journey. You will also find other opportunities open to your family that might surprise you. I took the homeschooling leap back in 1992. No regrets!
@DataRepublican I realized this as soon as I saw video footage of the protests at the Utah State Capitol. It was being organized and directed by the same yellow-vested, clipboard-carrying people that I saw running the show in Minneapolis. Antifa-CCP. Same evil circus.
@DadsClub99 I've prayed for you also. One thing I've learned is that although pain and trouble feel like they will last forever sometimes, they don't actually. The time will feel shorter on the other side, and there will be valuable treasures in what you will have learned. You can do it!
@catturd2 Parents to toddlers - "I'm going to count to three, and you'd better have stopped hitting each other."
Grandparents - "I told you once. That's it. You lose your fun."
Talk's cheap. Nothing gets better between 1-3.
@fourteenpoint4k@NoblestCalling but that to maintain continuity in church settings we should stick with what the Church published. This is not the big change that so many people are calling it. Now they just give some examples with approximate reading levels.
@fourteenpoint4k@NoblestCalling Previous to this, the handbook said that it could be beneficial for increasing understanding to utilize other translations of the Bible (what it meant, not an exact quote from the handbook), (1)
@sunfwrpwr I'll tell you at this point the primary goal is to just stay hydrated. Eat if you can, certainly, but stay hydrated. Probably water isn't your favorite beverage right now, so try a bunch of other things - homemade smoothies, nectars or juice, even soda if it keeps you drinking.
@jenpop7725@glennbeck Follow-up is just a simple blood test to check her labs and isn't usually too difficult to get (but I'm not familiar with how that works in Canada though). (2)
@jenpop7725@glennbeck If she's going to the Norman clinic, they'll have her come in for preliminary scans and then surgery right after. She'll probably be released from the hospital/surgical center in about 6 hours from when she arrives. It's not recommended to fly for a couple of days, but (1)
@HalCranmer@glennbeck I traveled to this same clinic when I needed my parathyroid tumor removed. I paid out of pocket because it was out of network for my insurance, but I have low trust for surgeons and I wanted the best.
@sister_slay@u2fan For now. Hopefully that's not forever.
