Since the redeployment of Liquity V2 in May, a lot has happened.
From the launch of the first fork to crossing 1,000 $BOLD holders, 2025 has loudly shaped what @LiquityProtocol looks like today.

Here’s a look back at everything that has happened.

Liquity V2 and $BOLD went live in May. After completing everything, the team had a full redeployment, introducing user-set interest rates and a new Ethereum-native dollar, $BOLD.

Shortly after this, the first Liquity fork, @asymmetryfin, went live. The start of Liquity's forkverse as I like to call it, haha.

Over the year, more followed:

This expanded the Liquity design space beyond the core protocol and this allowed other crypto users to enjoy "actual" Defi. I mean, they were everywhere. The $USDaf crew would not let us rest, with their juicy APYs and degen plays.

On the community side, in August a monthly rewards program launched, and BOLD crossed 1,000+ holders. Personally I have won about 300 $BOLD just by contributing and posting quality stuff.

And then... October happened.
Liquidations occurred, everywhere was red, and yet the system continued operating as designed.

During that period, yBOLD briefly recorded the highest stablecoin APY on @StablewatchHQ, reaching ~76%, reflecting how yield mechanisms respond under stress. They killed it hehe.

As usage grew, Liquity integrated with ecosystem vaults such as @lagoon_finance and @upshift_fi , opening additional ways to interact with BOLD and liquidity positions.

By December, Liquity’s TVL stood around $155M.

$BOLD liquidity spread across multiple venues over the year:
Uniswap v3, Uniswap v4, Ekubo, Curve, Balancer, Maker, and Gyro.
Roughly $2.5M in concentrated liquidity sits on @Uniswap v4 and @EkuboProtocol , with $LQTY stakers actively steering incentives across pools.

Operationally, during the AWS crashes, guess what? Liquity's frontend were live and aktiv. Showing exactly what Defi protocols should be like.

Throughout this particular year, a lot, I mean A whole LOT has happened; borrowing rates fluctuated with market conditions, with multiple periods of 20%+ APRs reflecting demand and system dynamics rather than fixed incentives.

But while looking back, 2025 feels more like a highlight reel than a foundation year for Liquity and I'm pretty sure we all enjoyed every bit of it. (if you did not, Idk what to say to you fr)

With all that said, we are looking forward to what 2026 has in the bag for all of us.
