Already lots of people off sick with CoViD. This winter, we need to continue services for our patients. We can do this by protecting ourselves against Covid and flu – and keeping the Trust going. Having both Flu and CoViD vaccines together is safe and effective #GetBoosted2022
Just finished an excellent two day course on ski tuning at @AnythingTec. Fascinating how wrong some service centres get things! A must for anyone wants to prepare their own skis or speak knowledgeably to their service centre. Highly recommended.
Just been #Boosted. Flu and CoViD jabs ✅. Very quick and efficient, and a free Boost bar too. Bookings are only open for a short time – please book quickly to have your jabs. #BoostYourImmunity@enherts

To explain our rationale...
COVID-19 seems to present as 2 phenotypes: initially high compliance with poor V/Q match and low recruitability, ‘dry’ lungs; versus subsequent low compliance, ‘wet’ lungs, potentially recruitable.
1/ I may be repeating myself, but I want to fight this sense of security that I see outside of the epicenters, as if nothing was going to happen "here". The media in Europe are reassuring, politicians are reassuring, while there's little to be reassured of. #COVID19#coronavirus
Interesting case series:
- very high PEEP req (> 15)
- prone positioning useful
- CVVHD needed frequently
This suggests a very high nursing intensity population. Proning in full PPE sounds logistically challenging too..,
