With 1/3 of Americans alive today born after 9/11/01 I hope everyone takes time this week to learn the stories of the selfless heroes in the midst of unimaginable horrors.

As part of our commemorative activities in recognition of the 25th Anniversary of 9/11, Ryan Weathers and Andy Pettitte had the opportunity to visit @FDNY Engine 54 / Ladder 4 / Battalion 9 last week. The firehouse in Midtown lost more members on September 11, 2001 than any other in the city as 15 firefighters, the entire shift, answered the call.

We shall always remember the bravery and heroism of Edward Geraghty, David Wooley, Daniel O'Callaghan, Samuel Oitice, Carl Asaro, Alan Feinberg, Michael Lynch, Jose Guadalupe, Leonard Ragaglia, Joseph Angelini Jr., John Tipping II, Michael Brennan, Paul Gill, Michael Haub, and Christopher Santora.

Twenty-nine years ago today, Texas lost the broadcaster who called Rangers games from 1981-97 and gave us “It’s Baseball Time in Texas!” and “Hello Win Column!”

Hear this 1995 Rusty Greer walk-off. That “Hello Win Column!” is Holtz himself.

Twenty-nine years later, the Rangers broadcasting legend is still sorely missed, and this franchise is better for having had him behind the mic.
