NEW: 1st mo of Medicaid unwind data from Florida
250k people lost coverage 54% termination rate😱
(Kids, parents, young adults b/c FL hasnt expanded Medicaid)
Of those losing only 18% were found ineligible; 82% lost for red tape reasons😢

@xpostfactoid This is the SSA website though. SSA handles financing end of paying premiums & wouldn’t pay for Medigaps so why would SSA mention Medigap? If you enroll in Part A & B what Medicare pays the gap picks up but otherwise gap not relevant. The https://t.co/d2vsdlzGE2 site is for plans

Closing out the @ITUP conference this year with a big thank you to everyone who made #ITUP2023 possible (and fun). #Systemschange is never easy, but we always leave inspired after hearing and learning from others in the space.

If people don’t have coverage, or they can’t access care, no amount of care coordination will help because you’re coordinating nothing ~ Daniel Tsai, CMS Deputy Administrator, Director of Medicaid and CHIP #Outreach#Enrollment#ITUP2023
“Top of mind” finish the journey to coverage: quality and equity, holding industry accountable as purchaser or regulator—but CA still has more uninsured people than most states have people…at the end of the day affordability is key.” PREACH @aewright@ITUP
We are excited to be reunited with friends old and new. The last time we were at this conference the CDC made an announcement —- #VaccinesWork looking forward to the knowledge and networking 👏🏽
I hate that I am missing Health Action this year and am sending @FamiliesUSA staff and partners healthy thoughts for the future. And kudos to all of the incredible work #Navigators and #CACs did this year for #OpenEnrollment Ten 🙌🏽🎉
"Of biggest concern to health policy experts like @JoanAlker1 are the folks who remain eligible but could slip through the cracks if bureaucratic issues arise...like they are unable to get through to the call center or they don't get a letter in the mail.” https://t.co/ezc0UxU1yJ
Sunday, Jan 15th, is the last day of open enrollment in federally facilitated marketplace states and as of now enrollments are 13% more than last year with 3 million new enrollees so far! #Navigators are working diligently this week to meet the demand 👏🏽
There’s never been a more evident time where it is abundantly clear #Enrollment assisters like #Navigators and #CACs need to be fully funded to work all year long! Take for example, #Medicaid and PHE unwinding (aka redeterminations).
