It is our duty to provide any support we can to the people of Gaza. And we can do that. Providing aid like food and water are expensive but feasible. The Sameer Project has a bakery that makes 500 bags of bread, six days a week.

On September 2nd, The Sameer Project distributed 378 bags of bread in Deir El Balah to Yarmouk Camp and Bel Kheir Nhayyeha Camp. Total cost with 11% commission was $772.

The Sameer Project reopened our bakery in Gaza City this week and a couple of days later, flour prices spiked. A sack of flour went from $12 to $25 and is expected to increase even more. This is because WCK announced a reduction in support with flour.

Fears of a looming intense famine is widespread in Gaza. The work of our kitchen and bakery at The Sameer Project is crucial. As international organizations are reducing or ceasing supporting, we are fighting daily to increase support.

Right now, The Sameer Project is running seven buses, including one for kidney dialysis patients and another one for amputees going to Hamad Hospital. Through partnerships supporting with fuel, we are able to do the seven buses for $2,275 and that includes the 11% commission.
