Hey Tezos community (if you got tagged, grok decided you were important).
Juniper continues to make art and brainstorm on her Little Sushi empire everyday. Photo is a cool art piece she noticed while waiting in line at a taco truck :)
Quick update on Little Sushi.
Since I started researching and experimenting with Vibecoding about a month ago, a lot has happened in the world of AI... My timeline is bombarded literally DAILY with folks claiming they have the next big hack. It seems @claudeai is being leveraged heavily currently for automation and such. I think this is just the beginning and @grok and @Google and all the others will be competing for marketshare for some time. Open-source models are obviously an interesting part of it all too.
Where does this all lead? Almost every AI post is promoting the reader to extract more wealth for themselves, while working less, using AI. Modern capitalism at its finest.
Meanwhile, arguably the most valuable thing we have -- community -- gets whittled down along the way.
I would like to see folks showing how they can use AI to provide more value to their community, and the greater world community.
The creative community that has developed in the @tezos ecosystem is the 'The bee's knees' IMO... regardless of the blockchain and crypto element.
Integrity, passion, professionalism, experimentation, collaboration, respect...
That is what has kept me here, and why I love getting Juniper involved.
It is the ONLY blockchain community i have explored that has fostered a culture that feels authentic, safe and supportive.
SO, we have decided to make Little Sushi a community project.
This IS an invitation to get involved.
We have laid the foundation, and it is a great narrative IMO, that has the power show off both the awesome tech being developed on tezos, and the creative culture, in a fun way that is accessible to everyone, even outside the crypto bubble.
Part of what makes a lot of the classic video games amazing is the wonky characters and legends and stories, that bring the game to life. (Think Mario Bros.)
I am biased obviously, but the Little Sushi story that Juniper has come up with is super fun and wonky and authentic, and has all the potential in the world to go viral.
And what a cool concept, that a wide range of people can easily support... Helping realize an 8-year old's vision into a fun game, utilizing the latest and greatest blockchain, crypto, and AI technologies.
It would mean a lot if folks wanted to jump in and help — ideas, art tweaks, code, prompts, sounds, whatever you're good at. No pressure, just if it sounds fun.
PLEASE tag or share with anyone who might want to get involved!

I invite you all to make a deep dive into this curation I made celebrating the uber talented Brazilian community - which is not only brilliant and diverse, but also an essential part of the tezos art ecosystem since the start.
🧵
@kis_iri Tezos will continue to exist. Tezos creatives still are creating and building, regardless of price, because they believe in the tech and the community. All in good time.
When stuff like this happens, I always waffle between being proud I was right, and hating it when it actually happens. 😭
I used to get this a lot when I was doing political stuff and things turned out exactly how I said it would. But the things that trips everyone up is the timing of things - you can predict the "whats" sometimes, but never the "whens".
Bitcoiners used to say "Bitcoin is King" back when prices were going up because the crypto markets moved in parallel with it due to its "reserve currency" status as the most common trading pair. You don't see them saying that too much when it's going down, though, and at some point, they stopped saying it altogether.
I wrote an article two months ago about how this dynamic works - but recent developments have lead me to the conclusion that Bitcoin itself is holding the industry back and needs to be replaced sooner than later.

I don't know about you guys, but I didn't sign up for this whole blockchain thing so we can LARP some digital version of feudalism and recreate the same problems of the old. I came here for distributed systems and to give another chance at democratic systems - BTC is holding everyone back.
We're back after a long time away & making improvements: https://t.co/rOdOMcohAZ
Let us know what you would like added to the site & we will add it.
We are now more sustainable (in time thanks to tech advancements).
Many improvements and features to come.

Happy #TezosTuesday!
This week, @moodSlime_ will collect 500 tez worth of art from the replies and through his own exploring 🔍 Share your work👇
Active on Tezos since 2022, moodSlime describes himself as a lover of crypto art, taking pride in the eclectic enjoyment of web3 art.
We finally did it, folks. We successfully delivered on our grants for the first round of our program. Events all over the world, both online and off!
This is first round of grants and the first time we have ever done this as an organization, DAO, and as a community. Congrats everyone!
Also a spiffy new upgrade to our governance pages coming soon. 😁
See the whole process here: at @TeiaCommunity we believe in transparency at its core and are using the blockchain as it was intended.

Doing some deep digging on my past political activities this week. Explaining to people the world isn't what it seems is both a joy and annoyance to me - you know how that goes, if you've ever taken unpopular stances before. But sometimes it just needs to be done.😅
UBI, YIMBY, and now...socialism? Going into uncharted territories here since it's something people actually recognize. But I think it's important we get this stuff squared away because it's going to affect the work we do in crypto too - especially in regards to on-chain governance and DAOs.
The whole blockchain thing was always going to be a challenge because tech culture tends to be "apolitical" and tends to get caught with their pants down later on when they realize that not all problems can be solved with money. The community that manages to sustain even a fraction of what IRL political systems can do will win out everything in the end, imo - mostly because an economic system without balance will spin itself out eventually.
@TeiaCommunity and #Tezos is the only place where I can see this happening, even remotely. The rest are run like corporate boards and shareholder models, minus the transparency and regulations that keep these models in check...and well, I think the results of that are pretty obvious at this point, even to the lay persons out there.
Quite simply: we need to do better. If we're not an improvement to what already exists, there is no reason for this industry to exist. We have to reclaim the industry's former ambitions and push the needle, really.
