@AvidCommentator People aren't betting on inflation no longer being an issue. Rather they are betting on inflation being volatile and coming in waves and it seems likely the US is on the tailend of the first wave.

@mantra_capital@ledgerstatus Somewhat true, however, Australian inflation numbers are still accelerating (comp. to UK/US), so one could make the argument we're just further behind in our rate rise cycle.
@CanuckLink I'm a noob when it comes to MEV, but it sounds like if you could make the protocol bend the rules to give itself priority it wouldn't matter how efficient/sophisticated the competitor MEV bots are.
@LinksFren Pausing withdraws is not something the multi-sig DAO can do, nor do they think they should have the power to do. The miscommunication regarding BNT Minting was really bad, a side effect I think, of dumbing down how the protocol works to explain to regular users.
@LoverPlaid I don't think we'll ever know the full story. But I think it's very likely Bancor warned Celsius not to withdraw their ETH all at once and they chose to ignore it.
@ChainlinkoracIe@Bancor Yes I have abandoned Bancor despite supporting it in the past.
Yes Bancor has abandoned its LPs despite supporting them in the past.
The idea of sitting around jerking off watching the Death Spiral and calculating impermanent loss, while zero newcomers want to deposit, is gross
@p0stc4p0n3@0xfoobar I think there's an argument to be made that their largest LP (Celsius) pulling all their liquidity and immediately dumping everything on the BNT side is Black Swan-ish.
@frogfren22@pythianism I remember in an podcast he said something along the lines of; it would take 10 years for Chainlink to reach the level of decentralization and feature set that they would consider as the real version 1.0 of the network, and that they were happy to stick around to see it through
