My mom has gotten denied by the @USEmbassyPH 3x in the past decade just trying to see her children & grandchildren. Always asking questions meant for my dad when they haven't seen each other physically in over two decades.

I don’t have a fix. I just think we should at least be honest about what we’re doing when we do it.

I try to mitigate this by being accountable. Maybe the approach should be:

- how do you communicate the path for marketing to be revenue bearing (or any other metric that matters to the business)
- what milestones do you create to visualize a finish line

In marketing, I find that burnout happens when

- you feel like your output is undervalued
- you feel like it's the first to come out the window when things go south
- you feel like everyone's a marketing expert who needs to weigh in
