I'm going to upload 25+ hours of raw unedited footage of Functional Programming in Modern C++ to YouTube.
Has anyone asked for it? No.
Does anyone need it? Also no.
Am I still going to do it? Hell yeah.
How do indexes work when your database is distributed?
Indexes are essential to making your reads fast and efficient. But things become really interesting when your load surges and you have to partition and shard your database.
Here's me explaining this key fundamental concept of distributed database while covering practical nuances around Cassandra, DynamoDB, and CockroachDB. In my explanation, I also touched upon all the trade-offs they make to make a certain aspect more efficient.
link in the subsequent tweet.
Note: This fundamental concept applies to any distributed database in the world and is an essential building block for you to understand and use them better.
We're putting the final touches on the new super fast offline installer for Omarchy. Ryan has gotten the install time down to TWO MINUTES. It's seriously wild that this is possible for such an extremely full-featured operating system. Give the RC a go!
Ngl, I love how C++ lets me chisel out the perfect code.
It may take time.
But it makes me proud about the result. Like every character matters and has deep meaning and is exactly where it’s supposed to be.
I used to be inspired by famous people in tech. I saw them writing spicy articles, and everyone discussing these blog posts. I wanted to be like that. So I started writing articles myself.
Big mistake.
Turns out, they're not popular or successful just because of their blog (at least, 99% of them are not). They are successful through other means. And their blogs are popular because people want to learn from successful people.
Lesson: Don't copy the image, Copy being successful.
I am going to #BoycottAsiaCup altogether after the Sports Ministry's response. Shame on all these folks. I will not cover a single ball of this event on my podcast. I hope many of you will join me in this. We are their market. Let us not give the broadcasters our eyeballs.
If we are able to reclaim our Hindu heritage & civilisational state today, it is because of the foundations laid by this great man. Shraddhanjali to Veer Savarkar on his birth anniversary
Labour's response to decades long failure on rape gangs targetting young white girls by mostly Pakistani-heritage men is...
....An official definition of so-called Islamophobia that could leave people open to prosecution...
....for talking about this scandal.
Unbelievable. Immoral. Unconscionable.

I’m British.
I recently spent 10 days in the USA for business.
And discovered the ocean between us isn't water.
It's mindset.
7 uncomfortable truths about US v UK culture:
I was at the Hindu Sabha Mandir where thousands of Hindus, along with Sikhs, Jews, Christians and Iranians came out to show their support for the community after the Khalistani attack on their temple and the failure of Peel Police.
Uplifting and passionate atmosphere all night.
I strongly condemn the deliberate attack on a Hindu temple in Canada. Equally appalling are the cowardly attempts to intimidate our diplomats. Such acts of violence will never weaken India’s resolve. We expect the Canadian government to ensure justice and uphold the rule of law.
I am reviving @thedicedb ⚡
If you want to contribute to an open-source project, you will find DiceDB super interesting.
DiceDB is a drop-in replacement of Redis with SQL-based real-time reactivity baked in. The entire code is in Go and the project is at a stage where it supports the ~12 most common Redis commands.
I have taken it from 0 to 1 and then @Jyotinder_Singh chimed in with some amazing contributions. Go through the commits and you will understand how serious we are with this database :)
Now it is time to take it to the next level and build a full-fledged database that anyone can run in production.
By the way, I have created 5 "good first issue" that are a good starting point for anyone to contribute and build familiarity.
Go through the Contributing guide on the repository to understand our contribution protocols.
