Lagos is trying to go off-grid. SW wants to provide rail transport through SWDC, is building dams and irrigation sites to revamp agriculture. Unfortunately for us, we’re busy with mass weddings, funding pilgrimage, sharing goats, flyover, cars to monarch, new government houses etc.
Islam is the religion while Muslims are those who practice Islam, and in Nigeria, Muslims have been attacked, injured, and KILLED countless times by bandits. Just of recent, bandits have attacked a mosque in Zamfara killing many people, in Katsina over 27 muslims who gathered to pray in Unguwan Mantau suffered the same fate. If Muslims/Islam were the problem, why will they attack their own place of worship that is highly sacred? Now let's leave that aside, the insecurity issue happening in the South-east, South-south, South-west, do we still pin the blame on islamization? When calamity strikes, are the culprits identified as Northeners or Muslims precisely? In truth many of you have sterotyped Northerners are terrorists to the point where any Northerner seen outside their region is suspicious, and then we complain about bigotry. Muslims are suffering the same insecurity challenges as Christians, and the blame is on the govt that couldn't care less. But of course, push an agenda instead of holding your dear leaders accountable.
If you want genuine patriots to run for political offices in Nigeria, just make a law that mandates these 3 things. Just these 3:
1. Put all nigerian government officials on the minimum wage. Every single one of them. No exceptions. Not 1naira more.
2. Ban all government officials from using any utilities abroad while in office. So if they fall sick, they must go to Nigerian government hospitals, if they have kids they must attend nigerian government schools.
3. Jail and kill all government officials proven by a competent court to have stolen public funds.
If nigerian politicians realise they will only earn minimum wage while in office, only go to public hospitals if they fall sick and they could be killed if they steal money, I promise you all these current parasitic monsters will not go near that office.
Thread: A very touching story that about a Man who went through the most difficult times with regards his family. it will change your perspective about whatever challenges you are facing now.

There isn’t a single spot in all of Yobe State where traffic lasts more than 90 seconds, yet somehow, a 22 billion flyover is on the agenda. If that’s not madness, I don’t know what is.
- A bag of cement is N9,500
- A plot of land is around 3-4M naira, half plot is in range of 2m.
- A 9 inch block is 950, 6 inch block is 800 naira.
- Minimum wage is still 33k
A fair % of this generation won’t build their own houses before they die & this isn’t even a curse.
Long before the ongoing blackout in the North, there has been an extreme energy dichotomy between the South (particularly Southwest) and the North. This energy drought in the North has forced industries to either close or migrate to South.
The Multi-Year Tariff Order (MYTO) data paints a lopsided image of the energy dichotomy. Eko and Ikeja Discos get 12.94% and 15.22% respectively. This means that Lagos State alone enjoys over 28% of the nation’s electricity supply – more than the combined allocation of the entire North.
From 70s to late 90s, Kano was a mega industrial hub in Nigeria. Bustling textile industries like Gaskiya, Holborn, Universal, Bagauda, ATM, Adhama, Tofa, Angel Spinning & Dyeing, etc that produced export-quality products are either closed or partially operating today. Up to late 90s, there were at least 5 biscuits companies – Kaura, Al-Hilal, Bagauda, Mai Reke and Riviera – operating in Kano. They’re no more today. The first confectionary factory in Nigeria, Nicco Sweets, was established in Kano in 1960. Later, more confectionaries such as Amka, Madina and Rana toffees established their factories in the state. Their sites today give pitiable sight to behold. They have either become warehouses or scrapyards for recycling plastics.
But who is to blame for this? I blame the past Northern leaders who did nothing to improve the energy imbalance and restore our lost industrial glory.
I know flags of all countries, capitals of most of them, their leaders, history, systems of Gov’t. I know all English (later British) monarchs in succession from the 1400s till date. I can place all african countries in their place on the map. I know something about everything.
Assalamu alaikum.
