Pakistan is certainly making strong diplomatic efforts in the face of prolonged war risks. If the dual chokepoint crisis in the Gulf continues until November, disruptions at Hormuz and Bab-el-Mandeb will have serious impacts on energy pricing, potential gas and other shortages, with high impacts on the costs of shipping, insurance, freight and trade. Pakistan’s role matters, but it cannot change other countries’ decisions or goals. Now would be a good time to make a planning war room for supply shocks. The Polio Vaccination Campaign is currently underway across Sindh, with a target of vaccinating more than 10 million children across the province, including 2.4 million children in Karachi. The campaign will continue until September 27, with frontline polio teams conducting door to door visits to ensure that all children under five years of age receive the polio vaccine.

The Government of Sindh urges parents and caregivers to ensure that every child under the age of five receives the recommended two drops of the polio vaccine, helping protect children from polio and safeguarding their health and future.

Participated in a multilateral dialogue with Mr. Yang Haodong, Vice Chairman of the Standing Committee of the Hunan Provincial People’s Congress, in Changsha, alongside delegates from Belarus, Russia and Mexico.

The dialogue was also attended by Special Assistant to the Chief Minister of Sindh Qassim Naveed Qamar, Pakistan’s Consul General in Guangzhou Yasir Iqbal Butt, and other government officials.

We discussed expanding Sindh–Hunan cooperation across transport, energy, infrastructure, agriculture and food, while also highlighting Sindh’s ongoing initiatives in modern and sustainable public transport.
