When a fool gains power, the first thing he does is silence the wise.
The next thing he does is gather other fools around him.
The final thing he does is destroy the nation.

We are bankers. We are literate, intelligent enough and understand your game very well and on whose behalf you all acted in similar lines at the same time.
You appeal to us in the name of customers while at the same time you deliberately ignore our legitimate demands. You want us to work 24x7 for every government scheme, but you do not want to give us what every other sector already has.
Stop this duality. Can you dare to appeal to GoI from staff side to consider their demands and end the deadlock on the name of customer inconvenience. No you can’t.

Hello @RBI , a few simple questions on your approval to keep bank branches operational on Sunday, 27 Sept 2026:
1. Section 25, Negotiable Instruments Act, 1881 expressly includes Sunday within “public holiday”. If 27.09.2026 remains a public holiday under Sec 25, under which statutory provision has RBI authorised it to be treated as a “working day”?
2. RBI itself has stated that under Sec 25 of NI Act, declaration of public holidays is a Central Government function, delegated to State Governments vide MHA Notification No. 20-25-56-Pub-I dated 08.06.1957.
Where is RBI’s statutory authority to alter that status?
3. RBI’s own instructions separately recognise “Sunday banking” while continuing to recognise Sunday as a public holiday under Sec 25. Therefore, does the 22.09.2026 letter merely permit banking operations on Sunday, or does it purport to change the statutory holiday status of 27.09.2026?
4. If it is merely permission to operate, what is the legal basis for compelling bank employees to work on a day which continues to be a public holiday, particularly in view of applicable Industrial Awards/Bipartite Settlements?
5. Finally, please identify the exact Section/Act/Notification under which the RBI’s approval dated 22.09.2026 has been issued and clarify whether it has any effect whatsoever on the status of 27.09.2026 under Section 25 of the NI Act.
Regulation cannot become legislation by implication. The statutory basis should be crystal clear.
I sincerely hope to get an honest reply.
Directing Banks to open branches this Sunday is not cool, Madam Finance Minister.
You said PSBs need to be “cool” to serve Gen Z.
Working Sundays isn’t cool.
Work-life balance is cool.
Respecting bankers’ time is cool.

Agree or die, Nirmala Sitharaman has been an absolute disaster as Finance Minister.
Missed target after target.
Increased taxes on the same taxpayers again and again.
Punished productive people.
And somehow the chair keeps getting protected like performance doesn't matter in Modi Govt.
Last evening, Social Media was flooded with posts showcasing how much Banks “care” for employees and their welfare.
Less than 24 hours later — employees are asked to report for duty on a Sunday/Holiday.
Welfare on Social Media.
