Heute wäre der bekannte Astronom und Autor Carl Sagan (1934-1996) 90 Jahre alt geworden.

Die meisten Menschen werden ihn wohl durch das #PaleBlueDot-Bild der Raumsonde #Voyager1 kennen. Und so hat Sagan dieses fernste Foto der Erde am 06.06.1990 der Öffentlichkeit vorgestellt.

Jugendliche zwischen 15 und 18 Jahren können sich mit einem Motivationsvideo bewerben – nach einem Auswahlprozess, der dem für Astronautinnen und Astronauten ähnelt, werden 30 Teilnehmende Schwerelosigkeit bei einem Parabelflug erleben. 🛩️✈️

Wow! The HUXt forecast also indicates a possible double impact. The arrivals are expected around 5h and 9h UTC on June 5th, with the arrival window extending from late on June 4th to early on June 6th. Arrival speeds are in 700-800 km/s range, hit probabilities 80% and 47%. Far from a certain show, but it looks fairly promising.
