@jk_rowling My spouse and I have had this argument for years. It would be nice to come to a resolution in our lifetime. Is the little house elf’s name pronounced “dough-bee” or “daah-bee”?
If you want to design websites for a living ideally you can do research, ux, ui, graphic design, typography, story telling, marketing and few other things.
Bonus if you can do photography or video too so you understand content and can make your own.
Extra bonus, you can build the websites yourself.
You don't have to be best, but good.
If you can only do one of those things you will always need help. And the easier this business becomes, the easier it is to do more of these things. Pushing you further and further behind.
Nothing wrong with only doing one. Somewhere someone will need that specific thing only. But understand the limitations.
For example, I don't build websites. I always need help. But when it comes to design, I do everything. A lot of us do and we stay busy because we're ultimately cheaper in the long run, even though we're quite expensive to hire.
I'm not the best designer, not even close. But I'm one of the best at bringing value.
If you want to bring extra value, do just a little more and don't forget how many of us do it all plus run businesses and so many other things.
Push yourself a little harder.
Very few need the best UI designer.
Very few need the best UX designer.
Many need a good UI and UX designer. MANY.
@TEDTalks I believe an open heart and an open mind, doesn’t require acceptance of a differing belief or agenda. But it does allow for greater understanding, which can lead towards greater civility and greater unity. We don’t have to hate. Great talk, @GovCox
@KarlMartinUX Thanks for sharing! I've been looking around to see what others are doing, as I'm trying to set mine up as well. I think yours would work—but not the direction I'm thinking of taking ours. For modes, I plan to follow platforms (web, mobile iOS, mobile Android).
@jmspool At one point, a toilet—particularly indoor plumbing—was revolutionary! You might say it exceeded general expectations. But now it meets expectations. What would you say about the ever present need to improve experiences in order to maintain Great UX?

This never happened.
But with AI (HeyGen) his voice is cloned and turned to English (Elevenlabs) and his mouth is re-synched to match the English words.
This is the true power of AI, anything can be consumed in any language
@DisneyPlus And also, I found a bug—when I set the ContentRating on my kids' new standard-type profile to PG/TV-PG (for Frozen, Zootopia, and Moana, etc.) the resulting library includes PG-13 movies and TV-14 rated content. This is frustrating as a parent!
@DisneyPlus Your recent update to #DisneyPlus where you changed the #kids profile to #JuniorPlus is not great! This profile library doesn't include the #princess movies which is what my 3yo wants to watch.
