It was about two years ago that I saw the speakers in different DTC events and felt like there was a lack of diversity..
I didn't see myself in any of the speakers. That being said, I found myself really enjoying some of the events I had a chance to go to.
At that time, I had about 127 followers and I was just posting about sports.
I took my content game a bit more seriously, and in the meantime started scaling up our own brands including @flewdstresscare
Been cool to see more people enjoy my posts, and it's been amazing to meet so many incredible people through this fantastic app.
Last year, I went to one of my favorite events put on by @triplewhale called the Whalies, and thought it would be fun to speak at an event like that someday.
I didn't think someday would be just a year later.
Super excited to share I'll be doing my first speaking gig at the Whalies which is in April.
Their team has been super supportive of me and my agency, and I can't thank them enough for giving me the opportunity.
I am sure there will be more ahead, but every step in the direction of not only creating opportunities for more diverse speakers, but also highlighting those that are doing big things is important.
We're building 8 figure brands..soon to be 9 figure brands. So I feel like I'm slowly but surely earning my way to get more recognition.
A long way to go..but here's a massive step in the right direction.
Hope to see many of you at the Whalies in NY on April 10th!
One of the core focuses I want to spend time on this year is connecting with more creators! π₯ I've met a ton of you over the years, but always looking to connect with more. We're building a whole ecosystem in the health & wellness consumer brand space πΏ, from our agency clients, to our own portfolio brands, to an editorial project we are also building simultaneously.
So much overlap and opportunity to build lasting, meaningful relationships with content creators π±
Also if we haven't met yet, hola ππΌ My name is Antonio, I am Paraguayan small biz owner, and lover of all things brand / content / creator economy! I genuinely believe creators can help humanize consumer brands and help people build emotional connections with the products that brands are trying to sell.
I got into the business I am in 6 years ago now after seeing how hard it was for emerging brands to juggle the trillion things needed to grow. Over the last few years as the creator economy has expanded I am still seeing how difficult it is for brands to handle things like content creation, brief/script writing, coordination with creators, etc etc and tbh most of the founders we work with simply do not have the bandwidth nor should they be focusing on these things.
All of that being said - if you consider yourself a creative, whether that be a creator, editor, designer, creative director, own a creative agency etc - let's connect. I want to go deep with some of ya'll this year and really help grow some awesome brands!
I'm building a brand we built from scratch and own from 0 to 7 figures this year.
If you want to follow along, I'll be sharing the ins and outs of what we're doing, what's working and what isn't in my newsletter. Going to rebrand it and call it "The Summit" π
Now the mountain in bio makes sense.
Here is some of the stuff I'll be covering as I'm heading up the scaling of this brand:
New Customer Acquisition Strategies
To me, this is our strength. We will go through how we're thinking about the offer, how we're adjusting our product as we figure out PMF.
How we're learning what resonates with customers. What is our ad account like? What kind of creative is working?
I'll talk about this stuff.
Creative Strategy
How are we thinking about testing creative. We're bootstrapped, so we have to be thoughtful about this. But we do have a really good team building this, so we have that advantage.
Media Buying Strategy
Bid caps? ABO? CBO? Testing structure?
I'll use what we do well and share what's working and what's not.
Lots of noise out there. I'll share the data and share weekly what's happening and what we're learning. Should help you grow your brand.
Growth Strategy
How are we utilizing creators? Influencers? Time?
When you're growing from early stages, you need to understand the levers that make the biggest impact for a brand.
For me, I lean into what I'm good at: customer acquisition levers like Meta ads, creative, and landing pages.
I'll share what I'm thinking and how I'm thinking about it.
Then I'll share what we're doing and why we're doing it.
I'll also talk about COGS, Contribution Margin, and how we're focusing on profitability as well as growth. Both are important.
Testing New ideas
I have almost a billion ideas every week. But the major way to make sure you're not wasting time is distilling the best ideas that make sense to execute on.
I'll share about the ones I think have the most upside, with reporting on what impact it's made in the business.
Things like TikTok shops, Influencer seeding, etc that many wonder if they make an impact. I'll share what impact they make and how we're tracking.

Here's to a very profitable and fun 2024
Tbh TikTok is my fav social platform, though I know there are some genuinely good humans here as well that Iβm sure would love an update - life is fun, my Aussie shepherd is almost 10 months old, Iβm super excited about our biz roadmap for 2024, Atlanta is amazing ππΌ hi 2024
@SarahLevinger Wait I thought of you the other day because I found myself scrolling my fyp thinking about how every single creator sounds + looks the exact same now..same vocal inflections, same mannerisms, same chaotic intros..I feel like Iβm losing my mind Sarah π€£
It's been a while since I've shared on this app because life has been crazy.
You realize just how little things like "DTC Twitter" matters when you face real-life stuff.
Whether you're experiencing joy, sadness, loss, or all of the between, life is so much more than just DTC Twitter.
It's more than the money we make working on selling these products, and it's much more than any recognition we get here.
I have to remind myself of this.
I know that no matter how "successful" I am, no matter how many brands I grow to 7, 8, 9 figures or whatever, it still doesn't matter unless I'm kind and loving to the people in my life.
I've found myself realizing how every day I want to just show kindness and bring joy to the people around me, and try the best that I can.
That means doing so in my work, in my personal life, and through my day to day life.
Like how am I being kind to the department of revenue lady I'm talking to today? That's a moment I can enjoy.
Don't get me wrong, I have experienced so much growth through the connections I've made here, but I realize that life is so much bigger and expansive as you learn how to unplug and go for a walk.
I encourage you to not just grind 18 hours a day to hit some revenue goal or income goal, but take great care in connecting with those around you in a meaningful way.
I don't think I really took time to spend time by myself and enjoy myself until recently and it's been really nice. It's also been very revealing.
Have I been loving to the people I care about the most or has work taken priority?
Have I been distracted when I could have been fully present?
Would I regret being so distracted in 40 years when I'm near the end of my life?
How do I lead a life that I can be proud of and can help those around me live a more full, fulfilled life?
These are all questions I'm asking myself right now and making sure that on my journey to building successful businesses, I don't lose sight of why I'm doing what I'm doing.
I told myself that I was working hard so I could take care of my dad. But he passed away last January.
I could have taken time to see him in the hospital but I was "grinding away."
To do what? Take care of my dad when he needed me the most? Well, he needed me and it wasn't money that he needed, it was my presence.
I'm trying to be mindful of this and trying to curate the ability to be present with those around me.
Life is incredibly short, but it can be beautiful if we take it moment by moment.
Am I saying you don't need to work hard? No. I am saying to treasure the time you do have, because you don't know how long you have.
