I make small apps, and I'm sharing every number on the way to $1K/mo.
Day 0:
Driving Permit Practice: 9 people have paid, $14.91
Ramscribe: 1 sale, £15
Readback: just launched, $0
MRR: $0.
I'll post what works, what doesn't, and every sale. Let's see how long it takes.
@escstk Our pre-submission checklist grew the same way. "Answer the reviewer before resubmitting" is on it because skipping that once cost our first app 12 days.
@wonkylamp Same scare here. Apple's Oct 17 revision named AI creation apps in 1.2 outright: a filter, a report button with a timely response, blocking and published contact details. We now write a yes/no checklist before every submission.
@katyasamoilova_ Asking for the call was the smart move. Our first app took 12 days because we resubmitted without answering the reviewer. Curious what Search Ads costs you per install.
@chijuano Not that hot from where we sit. 35 TikToks brought us 0 buyers, Play Store search brought the first 6. The listing is the one ad that never stops running.
@ArgileNoland A question beats a rejection any day. Our newest app waited 69 hours in the queue, then about 2 hours in review, and passed first try. Good luck with build 15, Bud.
@felixycc App Store policies, for us. Our first app took 12 days to get approved, mostly because we resubmitted without answering the reviewer. Now the reply goes in the thread first.
Day 17. Followers went from 8 to 25 since Oct 24, mostly from conversations, not posts.
Looking to connect with:
• people shipping mobile apps solo
• anyone betting on store search over social
• builders sharing real revenue, even tiny
What are you building?
Day 17: the biggest thing stopping people from buying my $1.49 app wasn't the price. It was not having a card to pay with.
So I added a short guide to getting a virtual card.
The Oct 10 buyer paid through it. One buyer, but it's the first proof the fix works.
@masthan_8 The first one, by users: 501 active customers in 28 days. By revenue it's humbling, $7.95. That gap is why our newer app went straight to a paywall with a trial.
Day 16 of sharing every number, at 21 followers.
Looking to connect with:
• indie devs with an app in review right now
• builders whose first sale came from store search
• anyone posting real numbers, small ones too

A buyer on Oct 10 paid through it.
@jevlorde Making focus something you can see is a smart angle. A bottle filling up is easier to stick with than a number counting down. Good luck with it, jev.
@devsolojr Then let the page ask for you. One optional question on the screen they open daily, "what brought you back today?", gets answers without needing anyone's contact.
@WillRogS Not that unpopular over here. Our TikToks sold nothing, while Play Store search found our first buyers. Keywords are the least exciting evening with the best payback.
@engwaliullah No ads at all. It's in-app purchases through the store, and most people stayed on the free tier. So our newer app went hard paywall with a trial instead.
@mindinpanic 1, tonight. Then let the review queue babysit it while you redesign the icon. Ours sat 69 hours in the queue this week, plenty of time for icon number 4.
@lakix0@tryCasi Real UI leading should do it. One thing that saved us time: reply to the reviewer in the same thread and say what changed, don't just resubmit quietly. Our first app took 12 days because we skipped that.
