Last Tuesday, my neighbor changed his Wi-Fi name to “Stop Stealing My Internet, 4A.”

I live in apartment 4A, so I knew he was talking about me. The funny thing? I wasn’t stealing his internet.

So I changed mine to “Not Me, 4B.”
The next morning, his Wi-Fi name changed to “Every Night At 9. I Checked.” I replied with “Check Harder.” Someone in our building’s group chat even asked if we were okay. But honestly, he had a point about 9 p.m. That was when my nightly video call with my mother always froze. I kept seeing his Wi-Fi with a strong signal on my phone, so I assumed his router was causing the problem. I changed my Wi-Fi name to “Your Router Is The Problem.”

For four days, we kept changing our Wi-Fi names, sending messages to each other without saying a word. Eventually, his said “Sorry, 4A.” Mine said “Same, 4B.”
