Andrew Bailey explains why we have raised rates by 0.25% today. Inflation is still too high, but we continue to expect it to fall sharply from the middle of this year. Raising interest rates is the best way we have of making sure that happens.

Unfortunately, I have some pretty bad news to share. Last week Ikigai was caught up in the FTX collapse. We had a large majority of the hedge fundโs total assets on FTX. By the time we went to withdraw Monday mrng, we got very little out. Weโre now stuck alongside everyone else.
