@Superguy551 As much as I love the comic book designs. We have gotta start letting people get creative. We've been recycling these old comic suit designs since the 90's. There's plenty of media that uses them and it's clear this superman show is a retelling. 💔
@Sola_Requiem He's also goofy and a swashbuckler. I'm prettt sure someone labeled this version of Kurt best when they called him "Bible Quote Man". So far in the show all he does is quote scripture and act like a priest. He is way more than his religion as are most people in life.
@Bathilde777@E46xMac@allegedwriter@MissSassbox Your original post doesn't even answer the OP at all? Hercules murdering his wife is not an answer to the original question? Hercules did not give up anything for love. The events in where he murdered his wife were not at all him giving up anything for love.
@Don312A@skipppppy_art What is this post supposed to mean? Like yeah.. concept art before they fully had the idea for her character was different than her current iteration.. that's how concept works?
@Bathilde777@E46xMac@allegedwriter@MissSassbox You are using mythology over a fairy tale, not even accurately either. The OP asked for a happy ending where the guy gives up everything for love. You simply state "Hercules murdered his wife". This doesn't answer the OP and in Disney's fairy tale is untrue.
@AndNickels@MayngueneBanana To be fair hasbro does it for the toy sales, simple designs make cheaper toys. It was a big issue because the old Mane 6 were never accurate in toy design due to this 😭
@Bathilde777@E46xMac@allegedwriter@MissSassbox In fact Hercules isn't greek mythology at all. Hercules is a roman adaption of the mythology. Heracles and Hercules while sharing some of the same feats are different characters. This makes Disneys adaption completely disconnected from either mythology.
@Bathilde777@E46xMac@allegedwriter@MissSassbox Yes but these are reinterpretations. Using the originals and equating them to disneys versions is disingenuous and misinformation. Cinderellas sisters didn't have their eyes picked out, Ariel didn't die, Hercules didn't kill his wife. These aren't the same stories.
@loopzoooop I feel like this ban just highlight how many adults and parents have totally grown out of touch with modern day teens and children. Instead of coming to understand the "why" they immediately go with the "well I did this as a kid, so you can too". Not how that works.
@orion_van13948@DiscipleOfBrad saying doctor who has gone woke is insane. It's british television it doesn't follow whatever america has going on, it was always woke. It's just uninteresting television now though.
@DiscussingFilm I don't think adventure time going back towards kid content is bad, just I don't know explore Fern's journey or Shermy and Beth. Finn and Jake's adventures reach a very satisfying conclusion, a prequel is just unnecessary imo.
@DiscussingFilm Honestly I get the dislike, adventure time was one of few shows that grew with its audience and grappled more mature and intense themes as it progressed all the way to Fionna and Cake which was fully adult. This show going fully kid again kinda feels wrong?
@Eggsealenjoyer2 @trasselvardias I'm kinda surprised that nobody has said that it was meant to pay homage to Marsha P Johnson. To show how involved both black and trans people like her helped the movement become what it has become today.
@Flamenami2@nuttimeister Idgaf truly. Everything has had receipts and been talked about to death, if you dont care thats on you but Im not falling for that "Im written as the chad and you are written as the chud" bullshit. Im not a part of this fandom, the show was ass 😭
@nuttimeister People can respond that it's not that deep, or you're too sensitive! I genuinely don't care, if these issues aren't a big deal to you, that says more about you and you should look into what do you even stand for. I personally don't care about this series. I watched it, it's mid.
@nuttimeister I don't really understand why everyone just skated over the whole voice actor racism thing that made a lot of people drop it in the first place? I've been seeing a lot of tadc has such a bad fandom but like... it's been in some rightful controversies as of late...
@nuttimeister and then the misogynistic comments made by Gooseworx as well as early as 2024? I feel like at some point people need to address that while the fandom is bad, the creator is pretty complicit in not caring about addressing anything.
