@brivael This battle had been going on for 2 centuries at least. Ayn Randt wrote beautifully about it. The state now hopes to replace builders with AI to finally win.
@DLanzetta25981@HomerPavlos I wouldn't care if this was some generic summer flick with Zendaya. He's shitting on the foundational literary work of entire western civilization and therefore deserves a thorough beating.
@James_Bozard@Kristof_Poland leeches have a problem: how to get the goodies without recognizing humanity of the builders? The answer - ask the builders to build a machine that would replace them. Then regulators control access to the machine for those "in need" and human progress stops. That's AI future.
@Mathflock@TexanJacobite You've said that many will die unless you press the blue button. I get it. I even get why would you want to press it. Then I've pointed that it's the same how pro-lifers push their agenda - millions of unborn babies will die unless we act. And somehow that's different to you :D
@Mathflock@TexanJacobite So people cannot be trusted to make important individual decisions and the collective must step in to save them. Except when it's for causes that you like (i.e. abortion) - then the collective should go fuck themselves. Got it.
@Mathflock@TexanJacobite Precisely. If the person is inside a torture chamber in North Korea and can choose to end this experience by pressing the blue button, why the fuck do you want to deprive him of this opportunity?
@Mathflock@TexanJacobite Coincidentally you are taking the same position as anti-abortion activists. Everyone can press blue to abort and red to keep the baby. Blue does not work if more than 50% choose it. Prolifers then organize to press blue because they believe that they will commit murder otherwise.
@Mathflock@TexanJacobite Main character syndrome - you're assuming that you know better and have an obligation to "save" them. What if that person pressed blue ON PURPOSE? Maybe they have good reasons for it, like being in pain or terminally ill.
@WhiteBabyFac Sounds based until you spend more than 5 secs thinking about it. 3 months is not enough to decide anything about prospects of marriage when you don't have any experience with it. Instead it's a recipe for a train.
@MadelaineLucyH Men and women have different preferences. Women like bad boys because it's a signal of strength and confidence. Men like nice girls because it's a signal of purity and care. When men are "nice" they just project their deepest need and mistakingly assume that women value it too.
