hey, i'm jo.

i've been building stuff for a few years but barely posted anything because i was scared to put myself out there.

seeing what @martintale @jackfriks and @marclou are doing pushed me to finally give it a shot. appreciate the inspiration.

i'll share what i'm working on, things i learn, and probably some stuff outside tech too (like sports).

if you're building something too, say hi 🤝

[jo @hijooh_]

@MartinTale ahah it happens😂

[jo @hijooh_]

@soltwagner you will definitely feel a positive change

@Eloise1041955 ça bosse dur ici, faut vendre pour manger 🙏

[jo @hijooh_]

@maomao000211 yeah you right, today i did the opposite, i prepared a lot of content for the next few days and also started to warm up my reddit account

[jo @hijooh_]

day 2 of trying to sell my mac app to strangers

yesterday's post: 76 views
sales from it: 0

directories: 7 submitted, 2 already live

today: zero marketing
built what friends using it asked for instead:
- windows that follow you across desktops
- a grid to snap more than 2 windows
- picture-in-picture for any window

none shipped yet. soon

sales: 1 / 10

[jo @hijooh_]

@y_chiboub fixing a few things first, then i'll record exactly that. thanks for the tip 🙏

[jo @hijooh_]

if you want to try it, $4.99 for the next 9:

day 3 of trying to sell my mac app to strangers

new problem: reddit
my account has 1 karma
post an app with 1 karma = instant removal

so the plan: get to 100 karma by actually helping people
no links, no app

karma: 1 / 100
sales: 1 / 10

[jo @hijooh_]

@hii_mohit congratz! thats a huge motivation for me🙏

[jo @hijooh_]

@MartinTale @ThomasKanze can’t wait to see! 🙏

[jo @hijooh_]

@unwindstack ingenious 😎

[jo @hijooh_]

@kingloves2code all right i will add it this week end 💪

[jo @hijooh_]

@MartinTale can understand! now you can create a club with @ThomasKanze for shit posting while waiting for the reset

[jo @hijooh_]

@ThomasKanze @AnthropicAI let's go 😄 try dropping a file on the notch, that one's my favorite. anything weird, ping me

[jo @hijooh_]

i'm burning tokens for toolnotch like i'm on crack

thanks for the free credits btw @AnthropicAI 🙏

[jo @hijooh_]

@ThomasKanze @AnthropicAI perfect timing to break toolnotch then 😏

[jo @hijooh_]

@kingloves2code that's the idea: windows, clipboard, file shelf, breaks, keep-awake. all in the notch, more to come. what would you want in there? 👀

[jo @hijooh_]

@ThomasKanze @AnthropicAI rip 😅 ration mode until the reset
