@ramit Credit cards are best optimized by using points for international travel. I take an international trip annually using points. Cash back is fine too and easier for most people. The points game is a hobby for me, so I enjoy it.
@BowTiedBroke Using an extreme example as the norm isn’t reality. She’s probably doing 70+ miles per week. Most runners are doing less than 30. Running is very good for you as long as you do some cross training and strength training.
@Storage_Venture He’s good for people who cannot handle debt. He blew up the first time from being over leveraged so he tries to coach people from taking on leverage.
@Duderichy Do yourself a favor and download https://t.co/Kq68BBoDkg. Amex & Citi points both transfer to Air France. You can fly to Paris using few points and then anywhere in Europe. Virgin Atlantic also has good value business class tickets to London & other places (expensive fees tho).
@GayBearRes Credit utilization only matters month to month and does not carry any record beyond the month following that billing cycle. If you carry a lower utilization next month, your score should bounce back, albeit other variables are involved.
@bavedikian Many of the athletes make a living in other competitions or sponsorships outside of the Olympics. They can train for a few years and then move onto another career. The window is short for most, so few dedicate their whole lives.
@itsmarkmoran@RoanokeCollege My dear friend was among those 16 cases mentioned in article. Absolutely devastating to see her on her wedding day knowing that she likely only had months to live.
I’m infuriated by the inaction of @timkaine and @MarkWarner to respond and launch any type of investigation.
@JerimiahLee Search Amex travel partners.
Find flights by those transfer partners that work for your trip.
Calculate what those flights cost vs using points. I like to get redemption value of 2%+ (25,000 points for $500).
Then transfer those points to the partner airline and book it.
@Storage_Venture Keep it simple: I would run 30-45 min 4-5 days per week at an easy pace. On the 3rd week, make one run longer, about an hour. Run on soft surfaces as much as possible. Do strength training and buy some quality running shoes. Eventually you can add in strides and tempos.
