I’ll end with this, If this is the last time I get to ever see Kanye live for the next 10 years.. possibly longer. This felt like a solid goodbye to a part of me that grew up with Kanye at every step of the way, every important stepping stone moment of my life, I always had Kanyes music to help me through it. Some heartbreaking, dark and beautiful times. I never cried at a concert before in my life but I did last night because I was able to recognize that in the moment.

There are several excellent candidates right now in the race for Texas Attorney General. All of them are friends of mine, and all of them have been strong supporters of mine for many, many years. Texas is blessed to have an abundance of strong conservatives stepping forward to lead, in such a time as this.

Over the past several weeks, my wife and I have been incredibly humbled by the calls, texts, and conversations we’ve had with Texans across Senate District 9, asking us to consider jumping into the race. From small business owners and community leaders to parents, teachers, and grassroots conservatives, the message has been consistent. People are ready for serious, results-driven leadership that puts our communities first.

Their encouragement has come from every corner of the district, and it has meant a great deal to our family. We are prayerfully considering this next step. Senate District 9 deserves a strong conservative voice that knows how to get things done, not just talk about it. That is the kind of leadership I’ve delivered as mayor and that is the kind of leadership I would bring to the Texas Senate.
