@1a@DrLeanaWen Very frustrated by this Dr. The difference between H.C. providers and teachers— is that teachers did not sign up to be on the front lines of this pandemic. We aren’t looking for “perfect”…we are looking for basic necessities!!
@DannyPellegrino what do you think about this all in with Teddi? I’d love to hear your thoughts!! i’m having information overload from all of the new stuff.
Re: #JessicaKrug. I took this screenshot in November 18, 2017 because I had my suspicions back then. I think I fell out my chair when I read it. The audacity. But hey who was I to say something? I did keep that screenshot though
Watching this country burn from coast to coast, it’s obvious people are angry. Yes, George Floyd touched this off. But let’s not forget: 103k+ are dead, most of them black and brown. 40 million people are unemployed. This is a nation in crisis.
@evreigh@eckm8 i think this goes back to my idea that certain things have always benefitted white people... so school isn’t always inherently pppressice for all students—because the system was created specifically for just them #usfccc
@FoxMokhtari which reinforces the importance of cross disciplinary/cross subject communication and cooperation between teachers. elementary and secondary teachers must curate material and reinforce key ideas every year
@evreigh A4: centering whiteness as the main history narrative, perpetuates oppressive education. the curriculum must reflect true diversity, and as teachers that prep may take longer because it’s not surface level, but the work is necessary #usfccc
