Monks who renounced the world in favor of prayer and ascetic devotion were slaughtered by death squads: agents of a regime imbued with the toxic and bestial doctrine of #Oromumma. Exactly a year ago, in February 2024, I warned of Ethiopia’s spiral into what I termed the “Age of Bestiality” under Abiy Ahmed. That dark forewarning is now fully realized. The massacre at #Ziquala occurred on the same calendar day as the 1937 fascist atrocities: offering a macabre historical parallel. Former Peace Minister #Taye_Dendeha, who vanished following his arrest, had already revealed that Abiy vowed to decimate the Amhara people. The regime’s atrocities are not incidental; they are the outcome of a genocidal calculus. Ethiopia’s soul is under siege, and history will remember who stood silent.

Eskindir Nega’s Betrayal of the Material Foundations of Amhara Resistance

Eskindir Nega, in his nonexistent organization’s manifesto, claims that the Amharas are struggling for equality, justice, and peace (as if the Amhara resistance exists simply because Amharas only lack these political ideals). Nonetheless, the Amhara resistance is not driven by a mere absence of equality, justice, and peace—these have been a luxury long denied to the Amharas and others in Ethiopia alike. It is the only path to survival, borne out of genocide, mass slaughter, ethnic cleansing, forced displacement, systematic persecution, pogroms, and an industrial-scale campaign of destruction aimed at erasing them from their ancestral homeland.

The ongoing Amhara resistance is not an ideological contest or a theoretical struggle, as Eskindir Nega delusionally distorts to feed his insatiable hunger for power—it is the inevitable response to decades of extermination. Equating this resistance with politics is not only an attempt to delegitimize its cause but a direct betrayal of the very struggle for survival that defines it.

Eskindir Nega is actively working to undermine the material foundations of Amhara resistance and sow division among Amharas using the money he has collected from the diaspora. He insists on reducing the Amhara resistance to a mere fight for equality, justice, and peace because he refuses to acknowledge that the Amharas have a unique, urgent, and existential cause in Ethiopia—one that is fundamentally distinct from that of other Ethiopians.
