@simonsarris We slaughtered and butchered my sisters two sheep that their family raised for meat.
Seemed very solstice appropriate (and also they kept jumping the 5ft fence into the garden. )
@AnthropicAI claude code just came back online for me and I went from 10% of my 5 hour window usage to 100 and 3% of my weekly usage to 15.
how to survive?
@simonsarris@NigelBest5 Yeah this is a known thing and why the old stuff cooks better - they spent time to clean them up after casting them and now they don’t. The old stuff sticks less.
The new stuff “boutique” cast iron is nice too for the same reason.
@Ruesavatar I just looked this up. It reminds me of the castle I got for Christmas one year as a kid and I still think fondly of that morning.
Something like 35 years later I’m giving those legos to my nephew this year.
Anyways. Im excited for your kid.
@secretsqrl123 At least we can stop hearing about this fantasy.
The truck they dream about exists. It’s 40 years old. You can buy it for <5k and if you’re clever can keep it running.
I’ve done it. It’s a project. Cool truck. I’ll keep the one made in this Millenium for now.
@orthodoxmason Thank you for the photo - I actually meant the cutting edge.
I understand the hammer end I have to maintain my chisels carefully a mentor put the fear in me about mushroomed hammer ends.
I use my stone buster for making bases for sculpture.
@orthodoxmason cool handle. I need to make one for my drilling hammer this winter. Any chance you'd post a photo of the edges of your hammers. I inherited mine and always wonder what the factory edge looks like - or what a real mason keeps his like ( I'm a sculptor not a mason)
In case you haven't noticed, there's a full-court press against RFK Jr right now. Extraordinary means are being used, including a profitable & lurid sex fight between 2 shameless "journalists." (They don't want to do it! Circumstances have forced them!)
Private lives for sale.
@zoeloveshouses@confusionm8trix Naming something exactly what it is is actually shows great respect for something which needs no gimmick because it approaches perfection.
