The staff team are out of the office today - not a social but some very important training from the district on EDI (equality, diversity and inclusion) @rajpatta@heatonmooruc
We're Working On It is probably one of my saddest cartoon prints. Yet people and churches have it hanging where people can see. It exposes the cruelty of non-suffering people making suffering people wait for what the non-suffering people already enjoy and take for granted. I drew it in response to denominations and churches taking years to decide the fate of their brothers and sisters. They want to appear thoughtful and diplomatic when in fact that’s all it is… appearances.
@CircuitUnited Black History Month with Mustard Seed Church and Stockport Race Equality Partnership. Great opening by the mustard seed choir where we all felt blessed by their singing. #BlackHistoryMonth
As we wake up to the news that thousands more are feared to have lost their lives in the devastating floods on Libya we ask you to take a moment of prayer or quiet reflection @rajpatta

POV: You’re a station I’m trying to use and I need to buy the 50% wheelchair discount, but I can’t because the ticket office is closed and TVMs don’t sell them.
Object to the closures now: https://t.co/FV0OhcGuGU

At our Action for Children Sunday service and hearing 15% of children across Stockport are living in poverty and 2/3 of these are families that are working. Shocking and upsetting . . Clearly a call for action but how do we respond? Where & how can we help best?
@actnforchildren
JoAnne from the Dementia Friendly group in Heaton Moor visited our Y5 classes yesterday. We will be participating in a fundraiser challenge on Monday - Can Y5 run/keep moving for an entire school morning? Half of the amount raised will be donated to this fantastic charity.
