Hi friends! I'll be running in the Broad St. 10 Mile Race on May 1st. I'll also be using this opportunity to raise some money for Ultimate Frisbee communities I care about! I've got about 90 miles of training runs planned between now and then.
“This is far from normal. The people in Gaza today are more than just statistics; they are individuals with dreams and aspirations. Each number represents a life, a story, a lost future. Let’s remember their humanity. #Gaza#NotJustNumbers#Palestine”

May Allah unite them in paradise 🤲.
May those in Muslim armies see this and fulfil their duty and move to end the occupation of #Palestine. #ArmiesToAqsa
Join us December 8th for our fall research symposium. Our students will be presenting their projects from this semester between 1-2:30pm in the Ambler Research and Collaboration Building. Drop by to see what our students have been working on!
So turns out working with invasive species at the field station has consumed my entire academic life and I’m not mad about it! I love these little guys:
Our union siblings @taup - the union for faculty, librarians, and academic professionals - deserve a fair contract as they continue negotiations with the university.
Let’s make sure Temple hears TAUP’s message loud and clear: equity, dignity & job security now!
See you there!

Ok @SkypeScientist is doing alright. 1,130 classrooms signed up this fall. That's...ok!
Buuuut we have so many scientists twiddling their thumbs waiting to get matched. SO!
Do the thing humans are built to do. Connect with people! Tell an educator you know we exist! Tag 'em!
Creating data visualizations is a HUGE challenge. How can we make this easier for scientists to craft beautiful figures that are easy to understand, not overly complex, and accessible? @natrokh and I have the answer... #SCIFIG; check it out: https://t.co/EEPjZvYm44
Our last intern highlight of the summer is Grace! Grace has been working on understanding the distribution of herbaceous plants at different scales in the Temple Forest Observatory! This work helps us understand how the herbaceous community might have changed after the tornado.
Are you ready for a hands-on adventure in field work? Join us at the Field Station this semester as an intern and dive into the exciting world of ecological research! Lead your own research project and gain invaluable experience. Email us at [email protected]
Our next intern highlight is Makenna! Makenna has spent the summer studying the changes in species richness and abundance of non-native woody species since the tornado that struck in 2021. This work will help us understand the impacts of non-natives on native plant regrowth.
I made a post for my Instagram about graduate research fellowships in marine science (and other fields) and thought I might as well post here too since it’s scholarship season! Hopefully it’s helpful to someone 🌊
If anyone wants to help spread the word about @SkypeScientist, it's one of two things we need the most.
