@questmoosa All things in moderation. I've found calcium very helpful for my stiff joints as I age, but I also take it with vitamins A, K2, D3 as well as magnesium to reduce any likelihood of calcium depositing in soft tissue or forming stones.
@MercyMalleus@BigolWave Progesterone can favor the estrogen making pathway in some people. Idk what that pathway is, but it CAN happen.
Anyone who makes blanket statements in the health sphere is usually someone to stay away from. 🙄
@seanonolennon I came to that same conclusion with my first child 27 years ago. Such a racket. The baby needs diapers, a car seat, clothes and boobies. Pretty simple. Intuitive parenting is a thing.
Sometimes I would wonder if Glen Hansard really existed….
Seriously, he was such an angelic presence… not otherworldly…in fact, very present this presence…
A smiling rascal if you needed him to be… this most musical and mischievous archangel of Ballymun… no airs, plenty of graces...
Of course, Glen was the shining star of the Christmas Eve busk… sometimes the only one reminding the rest of us that Christmas began with a refugee born in a manger, which is hardly a step from living on the street.
To be utterly yourself by being more interested in others - a clue for any of us trying out different personas. He really was who you thought he was. He could never walk by a person living rough without checking they were OK… and more than that, he worked very hard so that less people had to live on the streets in the first place.
When the crowds got bigger and for safety’s sake Glen had to agree to move the busk to a stage kindly provided outside The Gaiety Theatre, he would say 'we’ll give it our best but it’s not a busk if we’re not on the street!’ …because that’s who he was - a performer at eye level in any situation. The stage was a separation he wouldn’t recognize. Of all the grand and gigantic venues he and The Frames played, you sensed the street was his most favoured place to perform. And street people, his favourite audience.
Voice of the streets. A choir of angels in one man. The rest of us blessed to stand there beside our very own and very earthed Angel Gabriel… All of us welcome in his choir, whatever shape or form.
….and I’m telling myself this morning that if he never existed, then he can never cease to exist. For me, he will always be everywhere I see a coin spinning into an open guitar case.
May you rest in the peace you gave to so many.
Bono
@brianmaierhofer Yes, I've said before that life is a kind of leaving yourself and spending the rest of the time trying to get back. Maybe that's what the heros journey is all about. It's seems pretty universal.
@1Immortals1 Boron has cleared my eye floaters enough so that I can now read again. It has noticable strengthened (thickened?) my epidermis. I take it for bone health, but I don't have comparative markers to know how well it's working. It's not the only thing I do for bone health.
@Outdoctrination Some people have a problem with oxalates already. I'm not sure if I'm one of those people, but I take 3g. glycine most nights. I've also noticed an increase in joint pain/ inflammation. 🤔
@afoidinlove Nursing my babies far from the madding crowd. It was my job to bring peace and quiet to their over stimulated nervous systems. It also helped me to better self regulate my mood.
@oregonwoman Think of weight loss as a three legged stool. Look at diet, hormones and insulin regulation. I suggest finding a nutritionist to help you. Those three catagories have sub catagories and it can become a bit involved.
@Asher_am6 We caught our neighbor watering our woodpile on our property. Turns out she is convinced it will catch fire and burn her brick house down. To drive the point home she hung about 10 gas cans from her tree all with their nozzels pointing towards our wood. 🙄
@vividvoid@seconds_0 Iodine can be helpful but it's important to remember that you need some selenium for your body to be able to convert T4 to T3.
One of my favorite, ready read on the subject is https://t.co/1pjoPIoODl
@AnthonyMetivier@PeterGraziano8@dinosaur_info Thanks for bringing clarity. I personally find if the subject matter doesn't form strong pictures in my mind, I don't really know what to do with it. I've never been good at math for this reason even though numbers do have colors and personalities associated with them.
I don't fault her for not being courageous. But the mental gymnastics to justify her abortion this many years later, is stunning.
"And now she wants to be praised for being courageous. Courage would have been to face the consequences, and build a life for her child."
Let's parse what she's really saying, because it has nothing to do with the actual child.
What she's saying is, if she had the baby, all their secrets about screwing around behind everyone's backs would come out and break up their success.
So, she sacrificed her firstborn to the gods to maintain a status quo. Like millions before and after her.
"I wouldn't be the type of person to hand the child over to a nanny" so I'm going to snuff out their life instead.
And now she wants to be praised for being courageous. Courage would have been to face the consequences, and build a life for her child.
@juleshorn01 Nov 11 is Tuesday and I've paid for the class and haven't received any log in info. I've visited your website and also don't see anyway to access the class. I do not have an iphone, so I can't download the app.
