Fundamentally, a member of Congress should never call someone giving testimony a dirtbag— under any circumstances.
This is how Trump‘s culture of personal attacks have been normalized; by Republicans adopting and repeating the same juvenile name-calling.
just a quick shoutout to MS. KLOBUCHAR for her King Kong sized lady balls calling out Eric Schmitt on his epic mistake and spoiled brat behaviour.
😁🤣😂
well done madam!!
@amyklobuchar
So he was in Maryland and not Atlanta. And even the texts proved nothing except he went to row 109 at a game.
Eric is an idiot. We don’t like him around St. Louis. Nobody brings his name up for anything ever!
Quick: explain how a zipper works. Step by step.
In 2002, Yale researchers asked people this. Most were sure they knew, until they tried.

BREAKING: Rep. Jamie Raskin torches MAGA moron Sen. Eric Schmitt after he "utterly humiliated himself" by confusing two basketball teams in a convoluted attempt to catch Jack Smith in a perjury trap.
He's never going to live this down...
"Look, I mean, as ever with MAGA, we are saved from their absolute malice and evil by their complete incompetence," Raskin said on CNN. "I mean, they went in with the idea of setting a perjury trap for Jack Smith. And in fact, he, Senator Schmitt basically pronounced himself the victor in the middle of his little tirade there, in that Jack Smith had already perjured himself, which was clearly his entire aim. It was completely sinister, but also totally inept and incompetent."
The Smith hearing yesterday devolved into viral embarrassment for Schmitt when he asked Smith if he had attended a February 2024 NBA game between the Atlanta Hawks and the Golden State Warriors. His goal was to weave a conspiracy theory in which Smith had traveled to meet with Fulton County District Attorney Fani Willis.
When Smith said that he had not attended the game in question, Schmitt sprang his "trap" and displayed texts that he claimed placed Smith at the Hawks game. Smith recalled that he had actually attended an Iowa Hawkeyes game in Maryland. The Republican senator had mixed up the Hawks with the Hawkeyes and was so confident in his narrative that he called Smith a "dirtbag” and “villain.”
Raskin incinerated him for it on CNN—
"And now he's trying to laugh the whole thing off after pronouncing Jack Smith a dirtbag," said the Democratic congressman. "And then you've got, you know, Ted Cruz saying, is it a crime to be a Republican? Of course it's not. Is it a crime to be a prosecutor and to do your job? And see, that is the success of the MAGA strategy here."
"They've made all of Jack Smith's testimony about this irrelevant procedural stuff as embarrassing as it is to all the Republicans because they were so dysfunctional in the execution of their plan," he continued. "But they did distract everybody from what Jack Smith was there to testify about, which was essentially why he believed, beyond any reasonable doubt, that Donald Trump was guilty of having incited a violent insurrection and trying to interfere with the federal peaceful transfer of power."
And he wasn't done there.
"Look, nobody ever heard of Senator Schmitt before, and nobody's going to ever hear of him again," said Raskin. "He's basically disgraced himself and identified himself with this ridiculous little stunt where he thought he was, you know, going to perform some major service to Donald Trump."
"And it's all about being, you know, the most obsequious sycophant you can be," he continued. "And he proved that he was. And he doesn't even understand how much that he's utterly humiliated himself in the eyes of the country."
We couldn't agree more.
Please ❤️ and share to spread Schmitt's shame!
BREAKING: In stunning leaked audio from the New York Times, Ken Paxton was caught saying Donald Trump is dragging down his campaign. It appears there may be major trouble brewing for Trump and Paxton.
BREAKING: Leaked audio exposes MAGA candidate Ken Paxton trashing Trump after his idiotic midterms convention tanked the Senate candidate's chances.
It's official. Trump is completely radioactive...
“Do you feel like — and all these guys know I'm a huge President Trump fan — but do you feel like he’s a little bit of a drag?” a person is heard asking in the audio obtained by The New York Times.
“So to be honest with you, the numbers couldn't get— When we did that convention it dropped our numbers," Paxton replied. "Everybody’s numbers dropped. Right now, yeah, not good. And I wish there was something to do to turn that around but there's obviously nothing."
The remarks were made to a group of right-wing donors and lobbyists last week and Paxton clearly never intended for them to see the light of day. Not only did he admit that his party's cult leader hurt him by holding his asinine convention, an unthinkable sin in the current Republican Party, but he also admitted that nothing can be done to "turn around" the negative perception of Trump.
For those of us who haven't been drinking the Trump Kool-Aid, it should come as no surprise that the convention in Texas was a net-negative for Trump's handpicked Senate candidate. It was a transparently pathetic attempt to do damage control on the MAGA movement's brand heading into November, but there was no substance.
The deranged right-wingers who got up to speak at the event could offer no solutions to the worsening affordability crisis or the disastrous Iran War. All they could do was praise Trump's imagined achievements, and rant about transgenderism and communism. For Americans struggling just to get by, it made the Republican Party feel even more out of touch.
A recent Marist poll found Talarico is leading Paxton 50% to 44%. The BSP Research for the Latino Community Foundation released even more shocking numbers showing that 52% of Latino voters support Talarico compared to the 19% who support Paxton.
Now with this leak, things are about to get even worse for Paxton, an adulterous, bribe-accepting crook who needs Trump voters to show up en masse for him if he's going to have any kind of shot at winning. If the President decides this audio is worth attacking Paxton over, a single Truth Social post would be the nail in his electoral coffin.
Please ❤️ and share if you can't wait to see James Talarico win!
If the 1st rule of the courtroom is "Don't ask a question you don't know the answer to," the 2nd rule is likely "Don't smear a witness as a perjurer and a dirtbag because you don't know the difference between the Hawks and the Hawkeyes."
