HOST was featured in @CrainsNewYork alongside @jumpbikes bicycles as a potential game changer for NYC transportation. JUMP has just announced the company's been acquired by @Uber.
New York City's #pedicab regulations are outdated.
Check out @hoponhost policy proposal, which will allow pedicabs to join the growing ecosystem of small electric vehicles and help alleviate congestion during the #LTrainShutdown.

"Lime was developing a motorized rickshaw. Rzepecki says Jump wants to put similar vehicles on the road. 'There’s going to be a lot of innovation in terms of what types of light electric vehicles are out there,'"
Scooters are just the inflection point.

The #LTrainshutdown is a once-in-a-generation opportunity to transform mobility in NYC. As Brooklynites and Manhattanites demand alternative modes to get around, I'm hopeful that more space will be dedicated to small vehicles and that street designs will quickly adapt.
@TransAlt
Improving people’s lives with the world’s best transportation calls for more than just cars — that’s why we’re adding bikes and scooters to the Lyft family. https://t.co/16If7EdXa2
Excited to see a data-driven, multi-modal vision for NYC coming to fruition by @coordcity.
Now plan your #lastmile Citibike trip to/from the subway.
Incorporating new modes will be a given.

We look forward to continuing to work proactively with Council, DCA, @NYC_DOT , Mayor de Blasio and local advocacy groups such as @TransAlt to help ensure that pedal-assisted pedicabs can become part of the solution for getting New Yorkers around ahead of the #Ltrainshutdown.
We applaud the efforts of NYC Council Member @RLEspinal to bring low-speed, pedal-assisted pedicabs to NYC. Pedal-assist pedicabs are not only carbon-free, but a cost-effective and tailor-made solution to get people out of cars for short distance trips thru congested streets. https://t.co/tpyVGHR0XK
NYC Council Member and Chair of the Committee on Consumer Affairs @RLEspinal says he's drafting legislation to allow pedicabs to use low-speed, pedal assist bikes. @ABC7NY
A new @NYC_DOT rule would essentially allow most everyone using a bicycle EXCEPT pedicabs to use pedal-assist technology. @RLEspinal is trying to correct that so that pedicabs aren't left out. Full story on @ABC7NY at 5:30PM.

Apologies for not getting the photo but just saw a man on a recumbent hand-cranked trike running down #fixQueensBlvd, something you absolutely need a lane for. Bike lanes open the city to so many people, even (especially?) those with mobility issues. Pretty awesome.
We were thrilled to launch the first pod @BklynNavyYard yesterday evening. Thank you to everyone who braved the cold to be there with us for a special #ooneemoment.
