On June 6, 1944, more than 160,000 Allied troops landed along a 50-mile stretch of heavily fortified French coastline, to fight Nazi Germany on the beaches of Normandy, France. This helped Americans, British, and Canadians establish an important foothold on the shores of Normandy. To this day it is known as the largest Naval, Land, and Air operation in history.
“We’ve never lived in a world where 22-year-olds couldn’t assume that the work they did they would be able to do until death or retirement, and we’re never going to have that world again,” says former Nebraska Sen. Ben Sasse.
Parents: At what point did we start allowing our children to do whatever they want? Get whatever they want? Say whatever they want?
How are you the bad guy if you enforce discipline, structure, class, and respect?
To me, it's simple. The adults suck at being adults. They don't know how to parent. They want to be their kids friend all the time, make them feel like their the best, and always are making sure they are comfortable.
It's just not reality.
Remember, it's hard to truly care. It's hard to stand your ground. It's hard to uphold the standard. Kids will test you and many of you are failing the test.
We are here to prepare our youth for life without us. What you instill today, good or bad, will be felt for generations.
