"Only" 0.211% of Bosnia were killed in the Srebrenica genocide
"Only" 1.25% of Rohingyas were killed in the Myanmar genocide
Genocide is NOT about a headcount of the dead, read the definition before rambling!
This image that is circulating now on social media shows what childhood is like in Palestine. A child returning from school, hiding in fear when he sees an Israeli military car. Palestinian children deserve better than this. We’re tired of living in fear. We’re tired of fearing for our children every time they go back home from school. When will this end?
The complicity is undeniable.
"Germany and the United States supply 99% of the weapons exported to Israel... They could stop this conflict overnight if they stopped the weapons killing Palestinians." - UN Special Rapporteur Prof. Ben Saul
These drones are often armed with explosives & guns
Israel sends them into people's homes & tents to scan, shoot, drop grenades or explode
Gaza is the laboratory for Israeli "startups" to field test those drones before exporting them to the world!
We're a canary in a coal mine
Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu said in an i24 interview that his intention from October 7 was ultimately to wage war with Iran and expand its operations into Gaza, Syria and Lebanon.
Netanyahu said he believed on October 8 that Israel would “change the face of the Middle East,” describing his objective as confronting Iran, which he called the “head of the octopus,” and cutting off its regional “arms.”
The remarks add to claims that Israel and Netanyahu knew Hamas’s attack plan months before October 7, but chose to let it play out.
Other claims suggest that the Israeli military’s use of the Hannibal Directive that day was to increase the death toll, to garner wider international support for Israel’s operations in the region.
Critics on social media allege that October 7 was deliberately allowed or used to trigger a wider regional war, advancing Netanyahu’s vision of a "reshaped Middle East" and the “Greater Israel” project.
Israeli snipers kill a Palestinian mother and her young boy. And then they shoot anyone who tries to help them or retrieve their bodies.
Because "self-defense" of course.
In other news Finland quietly extended their bilateral defense agreement with Israel for another 10 years.
I do not know whether the world understands the scale of the disaster that is approaching Gaza, or whether anyone still cares about us at all. But a very serious catastrophe is coming, and the world must act before it is too late.
Winter is getting very close. More than 170,000 tents across Gaza are torn and worn out tents that have endured more than three years of displacement, extreme summer heat, strong winds, and heavy rain. These tents are no longer fit to protect a human being, so how can they possibly protect children and families through another winter?
Every winter brings the same disaster back to us: tents flood, water reaches where children sleep, and the cold consumes their bodies throughout the night. What we have lived through in previous winters will happen again, perhaps even worse this time.
There is no infrastructure capable of draining rainwater, and there are no safe places for people to go. Thousands of families are living inside destroyed and damaged buildings, which could be flooded by the rain or collapse on those forced to live inside them because they have nowhere else to go.
We urgently need caravans and temporary housing to be allowed into Gaza. We are not asking for luxury. We are asking for a dry and safe place that preserves human dignity and protects children from flooding and freezing temperatures.
Every season of the year has become a disaster for us, but the coming winter could be the worst of all. Do something before the rain begins—not after the tents have flooded and the world begins counting the victims.
Enough of treating our lives as if they do not matter. Enough of waiting for the disaster to happen before talking about it.
They changed the META and TikTok algorithms so that Americans wouldn't get to see what Israelis actually do or say:
- "What do I care? Kill them. I don't care.”
- “The Bible says, this place is for us, it's promised for us, so they can starve to death”
- “I think we need to be united and kill them all.”
The devastation caused by Nepal floods has to be seen to be believed
Global warming is real. Yet we are merrily cutting forests to enable mining by Adani.
Met with Dr. Muhammad Fatih Çalışır at The Institute of Islamic Studies at Istanbul University, where he currently serves as Director. It was lovely to hear of the great projects and plans ahead. I wish him and his team all the best!
Can decolonization truly be discussed through the language and concepts shaped by colonial structures?
In this plenary talk, Mehmet Asutay points to this contradiction. He argues that even when we try to challenge colonial systems, we often continue to use the same language and “grammar” that these systems have produced.

It is just matter of time before they respond of their crimes: soldiers, ministers, bureaucrats, finance, tech and weapon companies CEOs, in Israel and beyond. For it we must keep pushing from all sides, sparing no efforts, for justice in all corners.
TODAY is the release my book Israel's Lobby: America in the Grip of a Foreign Power, coauthored with Ian Lustick. @OneSignalPub (@simonschuster)
Our book explains how Israel’s lobby polices the speech of politicians, college students and journalists, and coerces and persuades American presidents to back national-security threatening policies.
I couldn't be more proud to bring this book to the public debate over our foreign policy and our democracy. https://t.co/Yk6Q7VvNeC
