Around 50 junta soldiers died during shootouts with civilian resistance fighters near Nyaung Hla village in Tabayin (also known as Depayin) Township, Sagaing Region, on Sunday, according to the Shwebo Thunderstorm resistance group. The junta has used fighter jets in the area.

Junta soldiers killed in Sagaing
Civilian resistance fighters from the Burmese Students Organization ambushed a police outpost in Tamu on the Indian border in Sagaing Region on Monday. Two soldiers were shot dead and two guns and ammunition were seized, the group said.
21 people involved in resistance against the regime received death sentences from military tribunals, while another 29 were given life in prison.
