@DannyVietti Unfortunate error but not what cost us the game since it was only the first out. What cost us was Gerit not getting to first base. That should have been the 3rd out and it would still have been 5-0 and no one would remember Judge’s miscue. Gerit amazing except for that one play.

For Knicks fans out there that feel like they're about to throw up, I'll repeat what I've said multiple times during this incredible run: Try your best to appreciate it.

Think about all those meaningless games you sat through for 20+ years. Think back on the Isiah Era, all the awful trades, and botched draft picks. Or trying to convince yourself that Moochie Norris, Frank Ntilikina, Willy Hernangómez or Damyean Dotson would develop into reliable starters.

Talking yourself into believing Steve Francis or T-Mac might resurrect their careers in NYC. Praying for saviors via free agency, only to watch one after another spur the city. Having to root for losses during entire seasons spent taking, only to get burned in the lottery.

During those days, you'd have given anything to feel the anxiety that only a Game 7 at MSG can induce—and having a superstar like Jalen Brunson who gave you a chance to win it.

It's been 10,592 days since the Knicks last hosted a Game 7 at MSG.

It may be another 10,592 days until they host another.

Per NBA tracking data, here are the league leaders in distance traveled this postseason:

1. Josh Hart: 145,541 feet
2. Brunson: 135,193
3. Anunoby: 118,465
4. Pascal Siakam: 117,051

Hart also led the NBA in distance traveled over the final three months of the regular season.

Dating back to the end of January, Hart has traversed a total distance of 706,999 feet. That’s 133.9 miles.

And that’s 68,898 feet more than any other NBA player over that span (Hart’s teammate, Donte DiVincenzo, ranks second).

Oh, and over the Knicks past three games (three HUGE playoff wins), Hart is averaging:
19.7 points,
14.0 rebounds,
7.3 assists,
1.3 steals and
3.0 made three-pointers,
while shooting over 61% from the floor and 56% from three-point territory.

For Hart to be that efficient and impactful on both ends of the floor despite damn near running a marathon every other night is beyond superhuman.

The Knicks lost 1,029 games over the first 20 years of this century - the most losses among all NBA teams. Yes, the Knicks ranked 30th winning percentage (348 games below .500).

Have to credit Adam Silver and the NBA league office for playing the long game. They did all to throw everyone off the scent so they could fix the first two games of the 2024 East semifinals in favor of NY b/c they didn’t want the small-market Pacers to win either game.

The NBA and rigged refs really commited and thought way ahead!
