“I am declaring a homelessness state of emergency in Oregon.”
Oregon taxpayers have poured hundreds of millions — pushing toward $1.6 BILLION into homelessness since Tina Kotek tweeted on Jan 9, 2023: “I am declaring a homelessness state of emergency in Oregon.”
This was one of her first official posts.
Results?
Homelessness up ~32% (from ~20.5k to 27,200+ in the latest PIT count).
More tents. More chaos. More money down the drain.Spending exploded:
-2023 emergency package: $130M–$200M
-2023-25 biennium continuation: Hundreds of millions more.
-2025-27 proposed: $700M just for shelters, rehousing, prevention… plus $780M housing bonds.
Yet the streets look worse. This isn’t compassion — it’s the same failed system on repeat.
Time to demand real accountability, not more victory laps while Oregonians foot the bill.
Where is this money actually going?

BPA says a court order issued at the behest of the State of Oregon, environmentalists and tribes will ⬆️ rates for its electricity by 6-7% over next 2 yrs.
OR Gov Tina Kotek ordered the state to join the suit last fall & celebrated order as a win for salmon.
What a missed opportunity to promote our beautiful state on the national stage. We need a new governor who cares about Oregonians and who works to build our economy and promote Oregon business and industry.
Visitors are snickering at the Oregon exhibit at the Great American State Fair. Oregon Republican Party Chair Connie Whelchel reports from the fair and the empty Oregon booth.
If Oregon is ever to pull itself out of its precipitous decline, we have to elect better leadership.
@SFMission2 Not to mention the death tax that hangs over the heads of those who have scrimped and saved their entire lives to be able to have a roof over their heads during their retirement years. Something has to give.
The Prosperity Council has delivered their report to the Governor. I haven’t looked through it all but this caught my eye. A single filler in Oregon has a higher tax rate than California…😵💫

Fatherhood is one of the highest callings, and the most consequential and influential effort any man will ever undertake. To all those who have or are raising strong, capable children, we salute you, we honor you, we thank you. Happy Father's Day! #bestlifeever#realinfluencers
America faces more than a chronic disease epidemic that threatens our physical health. We also face a spiritual malaise that undermines our mental health.
Our children are increasingly isolated, fragmented, and anxious, spending more than 8.5 hours a day on screens.
This summer, put down the phone and reconnect with nature, family, and community. It's time to Take Back Your Health. Eat Real Food. Get Active. Together, we will Make America Healthy Again.
Oregon's mental health system is in shambles under Tina Kotek's leadership, and it's causing a public safety crisis.
We need more psychiatric beds, greater access to treatment programs, and common-sense policies that protect not only those who need help but also our communities.
When I'm Governor, we're going to put mental health first and ensure that those who need help get help.

Finishing up Legislative Days at your Oregon State Capitol. Thank you to some of our Young Republicans of Oregon for the visit, and all for your efforts to stay engaged to save our beloved state!
Federally-funded schools cannot hide information or shut you out of decisions about your own child's education. If a school has policy or practice that blocks your right, we will investigate. If necessary, we will litigate. If it continues, that school will not receive federal $.
LOL. Of course we’re going to debate. I can do that all day with a record like yours. But if we’re going to talk about Oregon, we should probably include all of it—not just the I-5 corridor.

Hospitals: post your real prices and comply with federal law.
Patients deserve transparency. Hospitals that continue hiding prices will face consequences.
"You can build all the affordable housing you want, but if drug dealers take over buildings, tenants don't feel safe, rents go unpaid, and operating costs skyrocket, the system collapses.
Audit everything. Enforce the law. Expand treatment. Restore public safety."
@CiattaForHD33
For years, hospitals kept Americans in the dark about the true cost of care. Families made medical decisions without knowing the price—and too often got hit with bills that drained their savings.
That ends now.
Under President Trump’s leadership, HHS is enforcing hospital price transparency with real consequences. @DrOzCMS and I have a simple message for hospitals: Post your actual prices. Come into compliance immediately—or face serious consequences.
HOLY CRAP
A Washington school transed a girl behind her parents’ backs.
They groomed her to become a boy, roomed her with boys on trips, gave her a secret burner phone, and convinced her to live with a different family
The parents took her out of school, moved away from WA, and now she’s thriving.
OR's Sen. Ron Wyden is a vocal supporter of a tax credit that has failed to increase affordable housing supply in Oregon, while enriching "affordable-housing-focused developers, investors, lawyers and accounting specialists who profit off the tax credit." https://t.co/gYRV9Lz9NH
Tina Kotek’s administration made $2.5 billion in accounting errors last year.
That’s not a simple rounding mistake, that’s bureaucratic incompetence. And this isn’t just a one-off, it’s a pattern. In 2024, they made $1.8 billion in accounting errors.
Tina Kotek wants to keep raising taxes on us, but her own administration can’t even keep its own books without billions of dollars in errors.
It’s time to fire Tina Kotek.

"The network behind the Delaney Hall protests includes about 100 groups, some big names like the ACLU, Indivisible and Democratic Socialists of America. Together, these organizations report collective annual revenues of about $825 million, ≈ to the annual budget of Newark."
