Old timers will remember the Bor Ghat in the pre Mumbai-Pune expressway days!

Was quite an experience back in the 80s, 90s...steep gradient (more than 1 in 10 at some points), traffic jams, multiple breakdowns.

Took this route after a long time recently. Excellent surface and low traffic.

Shingroba temple is an important point on this old route. Travelers used to slowdown/stop by here and get some prasad. Often you were stuck here in a traffic jam.

Will write a blog sometime about the whole Bor Ghat experience from the 1970s/80s! Starting with the obligatory car cooling halt at Ramakant Khopoli.

The sight of child beggars on our street and their adult handlers who may or may not be their parents, is heart wrenching to say the least.

It should be taken up as a priority area by @PMOIndia and states. These children deserve a childhood.
